Sing Along (Nebraska and Florida)

Nebraska sat down on the kitchen table, drinking a warm cup of chocolate milk. She had woken up only a few minutes ago. Nebraska was putting her cup in the sink when she heard faint singing coming from the dark hallway. She slowly walked towards the singing. As she got closer the singing got louder.

Nebraska peeked through the door to see Florida singing one of her favorite songs: Roger Rabbit by Sleeping With Sirens. Florida blinked and looked at the door, getting the feeling someone was watching. Nebraska backed away and ran down the hallway. Florida looked away from the door 'Maybe it was just a breeze' she thought.

Nebraska ran up the stairs, almost tripping on the last step. She dusted off her legs and looked up at the door in front of her. She opened it finding America, Fuming with anger, he looked at Nebraska.
"Ah.. Im s-sorry I'll come back lat-"
"No it's fine, C'mere".

Nebraska looked at the floor and walked towards him. America rubbed his face "Look I- There isnt a reason why I'm mad- well there is but, it doesn't have to do with any of you- well" he sighed. You may be wondering whats going on, well some states got into some illegal issues, and its hard for America to control everyone.

Nebraska blinked, she would help him but shes bein' teased, other states call her 'Daddy's Girl' and she doesn't like it. But.. At the same time, she loves America and always wants to help.

Nebraska looked at him "It's okay America, I'm sure everything is fine..!". America only nodded "Well, what do you need? You came up here for a reason, right?". She remembered about it "Yes! I want to build a stage!"
"A stage?"
"Yes! In the spare room!"
"Well... Alright fine, I'll get the things you need".

A few weeks passed, Nebraska placed the mic down. She walked out the room and looked at the states that helped "Thanks everyone!". Texas nodded as he elbowed California to place the bow on the door, it was wrapped in birthday wrapping. The walls of the hall were decorate with lights glued to music notes, famous phrase from Florida's favorite songs were written on it.

"Alright! Cal go get Flor- oh and do anything dirty to her! yet~" She giggled. Cal blushed "Shush you" he said walking away.
Nebraska walked in along with Texas "I gave all the states a invite, America and Spain" he said with a proud smirk. "How did you get Spain?"
"I have my ways".

California covered Florida's eyes as they walked in, Nebraska looked at Texas, then nodded at Cal. Cal uncovered Flor's eyes Nebraska and Texas yelled "SURPRISE!". Florida blinked as tears of joy appeared "T-This is for me?" She asked. Everyone nodded, Florida walked to the stage smiling.

The other states walked in sitting in they're seats. To Nebraska's surprise, the Midwestern states did show up. Florida's voice was heard that night, and everyone enjoyed it.
