Prolouge

-1994-

"She's so beautiful" I whisper

"I know hun, but we have to do it" he says

"I can't, I don't want to!" I say holding my baby girl closer to me

"Hun, we already found a good family for her. And when the time is right we will meet her again" Geoff says

"Ok. But you promise we will meet her when the time is right?" I say feeling the tears run down my cheeks

"I promise hun. Now I'll go bring in Ron and Jessica" He says then kisses my forehead and walks out the room. I stare at my beautiful baby girl once again

"Mummy and daddy love you very very much, but things are hard right now. Your brother is sick and we can't afford another baby. I'm so sorry. But I promise you we will meet up some day" I say giving her a kiss, I stare into her big brown eyes and then it hits me.

"Victoria Luna Payne" I smile and then the door opens. I see Ron and Jessica with Geoff

"Oh my shes so beautiful" Jessica says putting the carrier down

"Did you find a name?" Ron asks

"Yes. Victoria Luna" I say smiling

"Perfect" Geoff says smiling. The doctor comes in with some papers and then runs off to complete her birth certificate. About 10 minuets pass and he hands me a pen and papers. Geoff grabs Victoria and gently rocks her. I sigh. I slowly wright 'Karen Payne' on the line and hand the papers to Geoff. He gives me Victoria and he looks at me and signs the papers. I look at my baby girl once again and give her a kiss then Geoff walks up to me and picks her up and kisses her

"Daddy and mummy love you so much Victoria, we always will" he says then Jessica grabs her and gently puts her in her carrier.

"Thank you guys so much. With me being able not to have kids I jus-" Jessica tries to say but starts to cry. Ron rubs her back

"It's just that Victoria is a blessing to us" Ron says smiling.

"Do you think when she gets older we can meet?" I ask

"Of course" Ron says picking up the carrier he locks his fingers with Jessica's hand

"Again, thank you very very much" Jessica says hugging me and Geoff

"You're welcome" I say feeling the tears running down my cheeks. I look at Victoria once more to see that she's fast asleep. I smiled and then they left.

And that's the last time I saw my baby girl Victoria Luna Payne
