Sunlight glinted on Flarekit's pale gold fur as she watched Lilykit chase a ball of moss. She thought back to the night before.
Skyfern's fur bristled as she listened to the starry cat's prophecy. Flarekit cocked her head. What did the warrior mean? He then faded into the bushes. Skyfern called in a confused Cloudstar. "What is it, Skyfern?" Skyfern whispered something into Cloudstar's ear that made her gaze snap up to Flarekit. She nodded. "I will go to the moonstone and talk to StarClan." They both backed out of the den, leaving Flarekit in the darkness.
Now no one would talk to Flarekit no matter what. Not even her sister, Lilykit. And they would only look at her when they were giving her a glare of pure hatred or disdain. Flarekit put her head on her paws. She just wanted a friend.
