Lacey's POV

I'm free once again all I gotta do is make it to the forest and I should be on my way. I can come and retrieve my bag later. I should be ok until I get around to it.

There getting closer. I tell myself as I hear there hurried foot steps begin to get closer to me.

Just a little closer and ill be there. I reach out my hand in front of me. My brown hair bouncing behind me as I run feeling the hot sun beating down on me, even though its near sunset.

I can make. Just a few more feet and ill be gone before they can find my trail.

"Yes I ••" before I can finish I'm talked to the ground by a muscular guy. My face gets pressed into the dirt as we slide. I close my eyes and stop breathing trying to block as much dirt out as I can.

I suddenly am on someone's chest. They hold onto me tightly. I wiggle in their grasp. Well isn't this great, I growl angrily at myself. They stand up whispering a subtle "sorry". I roll my eyes like hell you are. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs how dare him. I was so close to freedom.

He sets me down and I feel something being wrapped around my wrist. Not like I can't get out of it I snort.

Once I calm down I lick my dry dirty lips. I pull my tongue back feeling something wet touch it. I the wet part again trying to see what it is.

Water? No it can't be. My eyes widen in resignation of course I should know that metallic taste any where its blood. I'm bleeding he made me bleed!

I wiggle furiously in his grasp shouting inappropriate things to him not caring who heard. No one should be treated like this.

"Calm down wild thing" Zane mocks with a deadly scowl placed on his face. Man if looks could kill I'm pretty sure I'd be dead and out of this mess.

I stop struggling and look at him unfazed. "Your gonna have to do better than to tell me to stay. I ain't your damn dog!" I say with anger evident in my voice.

I look past him as the doors to the building opens up and Trey and a few others step out with him. The girl is glued to a old mans side. Well a man that looks in his mid 50 I guess you could say.

Trey shakes his head sadly as I stare at the girl curious once again. Her eyes twinkle with amusement as her face gives away no indication of any emotion.

The old man looks me up and down slowly scrutinizing me. I give him a nasty glare he starts to speak.

"This is the girl that is dangerous to us? She merely looks like she could kill a fly," he laughs. He'll regret that I can assure myself that he will never doubt me. If that's what you can call it.

"Clean her up then bring her to the cell for interrogation," mystery man says.

Trey pulls me away from my captor and takes me inside another house and starts cleaning me up.

I flench when he starts to clean my gash. Which I found is on my right cheek going under my eye.
