It was spring break, your junior year of high school. You were only 16, but went out with a bunch of your best friends, Aly, Dessa, Saff, Sarah, Tara, and of course Kaitlyn. You had all gone to Tara's grandmas house, a town over from yours, only a quick 15 minute drive. Tara's grandma was never home, but let us use her house for small get together every now and then. In her basement was a huge bar, I mean full of everything you could ever imagine, total jackpot to 7 teenage girls, left home alone.
You all knew what was going to happen as soon as you all made the plans. You all had planned on getting completely wasted, like you usually did.
This time, though it was worse. As soon as you got there you immediately went at the hard liquor. Only about half an hour had passed and you had managed to down six shots, a rum and coke and a full bottle of bud light.
Freshman year, you had a boyfriend named Noah, he was the best thing that could have ever happened to you and somehow you let it all slip away over the summer. You had been walking around with this regret for the last, almost, 2 years and you wanted him back.
An hour had now gone by and after what you had before, you added 4 more shots and one more rum and coke. For some reason, tonight you were feeling especially lonely and regretful for what had happened, now almost 2 years ago. (which could have just been the alcohol, but who knows.) After crying for a good 20 minutes, you went into the other room and decided to call Noah.
You dialed his number and thankfully after three rings, he picked up.
You had always been really good friends before you two started going out, and you both decided not to let a breakup get in the way of it, that is after sophomore year, you barley spoke more than five words. This year, however, you had grown back to the good friends you used to be. He had a girlfriend now, but you could tell it wasn't the same as it was when he was with you. He didn't look at her the same way. You knew because the year you dated, you always caught him looking at you, his eyes filled with love. He never looked at her the same way. You know that, and you hoped part of him knew that too.
"Hey, (y/n), what's up?" He picked up through the phone. "Noah..." you managed to slur. You heard him laugh a little bit through the phone and it made your heart melt. "(Y/n)" he said mocking you. " Noah, I love you, and, and I'm so sorry about what happened, but I miss you and I want you back." You slurred through staggered breathes and hiccups. His laughter had stopped and all you heard was a soft breath on the other side of the phone. "(Y/n/n), how much did you drink?" He asked softly. It only made you cry harder, that he didn't directly answer your question. "It doesn't matter" you once again managed to slur back. You could hear him typing through the phone, which means he had put you on speaker and started to text someone. Probably one of your friends, who weren't nearly as wasted as you were.
