After such a weird afternoon of actually being noticed I mounted my turquoise and white beach cruiser bike after school and began my ride home accompanied by a warm wind.
It was strange to be noticed and I was awkward from the sheer lack of talking to people my age.
I bit my lip thinking about how I needed to find a book that would just tell me how to talk to other people.
If only, if only...
Since it's such a lovely day I decide to take a small detour to the park that is behind my house.
It's a lovely small park that no one goes to besides me it seems.
Well probably because it isn't the most lovely place to look at.
There are broken beer bottles and discarded litter that never found it's way to a garbage can, that seems to make the public unhappy, but unwilling to do anything about it.
There also happens to be an old gazebo that sits near a large willow tree and you can tell by looking at it that the grand gazebo was once a sight to see, but from what I assume of years of neglect had become a bit of an eyesore to the public and another reason no one seems to come here.
Well except for me.
It has a great view of a small pond that still has water and is kinda cool to look at.
I'm a bit of an outcast so I don't necessarily fit in the mold, but who doesn't have that problem in life at one point or another?
I intend to get over mine for the time being.
I don't read books- I breathe them like they are oxygen in this town that has a shortage of appreciation of the slightly odd.
The exception being books.
The books I read are my friends and you could say that's "lame" but it doesn't matter.
What else have I got to do for entertainment in a community that either ignores or pushes me down?
All of this courses through my mind like a surging river that could never drain and I lean my head against the gazebo railing looking up.
"Andi!" My mother calls to me while I assume she is stirring a pot of cheesy patato soup- my favorite.
I start to call to my mother that I'll come soon but suddenly hands covers my eyes and mouth and I hear heavy breathing from trying to restrict me from getting away....
