As I heard the alarm that I set up in my phone last night, I knew my precious spring break was officially over.

Why couldn't spring break be longer than a week?

As much as I didn't want to, I eventually managed to drag myself out of my bed and walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

For your information, I did all that with my eyes closed.

But my eyes were wide opened when I touched the water. The water was so cold and I felt like my hands were freezing.

After a quick morning shower, I put on my normal outfit, getting ready for school.

Ugh. Is spring break really over? Or am I just dreaming?

Dreaming myself getting ready for school? That's what I'll call a nightmare.

But I would rather have a nightmare right now than facing the real nightmare at school.

Do I?

I would rather to go to school during day and have good dreams at night.

Really?

When I was thinking about which kind of nightmare I would rather have, I heard my mom called from downstairs. "Carys, honey, breakfast's ready."

I looked down to see I was already in my black and white stripes long sleeve T-shirt and jeans.

When did I put them on?

Maybe just now when I was thinking...

I took my olive green army jacket and my backpack from my chair and trudged my way down to the kitchen.

My backpack was so heavy since it was filled with my textbooks I brought home to study during spring break.

Yes. I studied during spring break, I knew it sounded lame but studying at home was way better than studying at school, because you can study whenever you want, you can stay up late and didn't need to worry about getting up early in the morning...

"Morning, sweetheart."

"Morning, mom." There might be a bit of laziness in my tone.

And my mom obviously noticed it. "Enjoy your school days while you can, honey, you're gonna miss it once you started working."

Ugh. Work. Can't I just stay at home and do nothing forever?

No, I can't. We need money, and I need to work to earn money.

"You told me this almost everyday, mom."

"Because that is the truth, Carys, to enjoy your high school life, and after that, college life." My mom smiled at me when she said, she had the most beautiful smile in the world, and that's what I loved the most in the world, well, beside my mother.

It felt so nice to be back at school...

Like I was telling the truth...

Seriously, I was.

I liked school, especially our school, I just didn't like getting up so early in the morning for five days a week, in a row if I might add, I bet everyone felt the same way as I was, and people tended to whine a little bit while waking up, not just me.

Heading towards my locker, someone wrapped her arm around my shoulders.

It didn't take me any hesitation to know who it was, since there's only one people who would do this to me at school.
