It's Friday again. Mr. Kane texted me right after I reached home from school, saying he was bringing Amelia to the hospital visiting Mrs. Kane, and I didn't have to go over to their house today.
That meant I had an afternoon off, on Friday, so I quickly texted Shelley.
- Wanna go shopping later? -
- How about Amelia? -
- Mr.K brought her to the hospital visiting Mrs.K. I'm all yours today. -
- Really? We can go to the mall? –
- Yup. Or wherever you want. –
- I'll be there in an hour! –
- Take your time. -
I knew today was Shelley wash day, and even though she was a quick washer, she still needed some time to take care of her hair.
I also washed up a little bit and went downstairs wanting to find some documentary about wolves to watch on TV, but tuned in to the channel rerunning Teen Wolf.
Werewolves were half wolves, and I loved them too.
Someone knocked on the door made me jumped out from my sofa.
I took a peek out of the window and saw a familiar figure was standing in front of my door.
My attentions were focused on the TV when I went to open the door, because, c'mon, who would take their eyes off those men and women?
"You must know the one who's standing right in front of you is more handsome than those werewolves on that show, and the friend who is not werewolf."
Seriously, Cohen, do you really think that?
It's commercial time now so I turned my head to look at my enemy who interrupted my bonding with the werewolves, the human, and the banshee, "Why are you here?"
"To talk to you."
I let him in and closed the door.
I jumped back to the sofa and pulled my legs up close to my chest, "I thought you'd go to the hospital with your dad and Amelia?"
"I'll go later." He didn't sit down, he just stood behind the sofa, behind me.
"What is it you want to talk about?" I took the big bottle full of gummy bear candies I left on the coffee table and unscrewed the bottle cap.
I spun a little bit so I was now facing the window and Cohen was standing at my left.
Cohen grabbed some gummy bears from the bottle after I opened it, "So, Amelia keeps saying that she wants to go to Disneyland."
I nodded. "Yeah, I know."
"So, I'm thinking about tomorrow?"
I was choosing orange gummy bears out of every other color.
To be sincerely honest, I didn't pay much attention on what's he was talking. "Tomorrow what?"
Jeez, why did they have so few of orange gummy bears?
"Bring her to the Disneyland tomorrow."
Finally I found an orange one and threw it into my mouth and carried on searching for more. "Um-hmm. And?"
"I-I want you to come too," He sounded, nervous? Like he was asking a girl he fancied for a little while out on a date but was worried that she would refuse him. Was there any chances that I might be hallucinated the nervousness in his sound? "I can't handle Amelia all on my own."
