Little Do You Know [MCD DuelFiction]

Part One - The Beginning

-Chapter One-

I sat there, not wanting to move. The news of m'lord dying was 'great' enough... Now, to make the situation 'better', my family is now voted into royalty. I sighed and slumped lower on to the tree trunk ground.
Oh! How rude of me! My name is Skylar, or Sky, is my nickname! Skylar Angelic Rose. I have purplish light pink hair, and grayish blue eyes. I love music and art...Frankly, those are all the things I do in spare time. Anyway! Back to the story.
I began wiping my tear stained face, though newly water droplets were coming out of my eyes. I yawed from the no sleep days, for the past week. When I learned about my lords death, everything, and I mean everything, started going downhill. Not just for me! But as well as the citizens. The loss of our lord had a great impact among many, but no reactions were the same as mine. Mind you, I had been great friends with the lord since we were children. Now at 17, he was years older, we've knew each other for years on end.
I sighed yet again and got up from the tree trunk rest. While meandering back home, I heard someone call my name.
"SKYLAR!" I heard my sister say. I groaned and looked at the direction of her whereabouts. "Where are you going silly? Our new home is this way!" She said, pointing to the direction of the palace. All I could manage to say was a, "oh... yeah. I forgot." Before I retraced my steps to the palace. "So... Sky...What's up?" She asked, trying to get my attention off of my lords death. I groaned, signaling that I didn't want to talk, not just yet. I continued walking and soon enough, reached the palace doors. I knew my way around this place by heart, mostly because I've been here before with the former lord. I shook off my sadness and entered the building, and then running to find my room, my sister followed me, soon joined by some giggles, we were going to pick a room that was perfect, but not only that, we were going to pick a room that was perfect for the opposite person. This is going to be fun, I thought.

~Le Time Skip Cuz I'm Lazy :3-

I raced through different rooms, trying to find the perfect one for my sister. I jolted to a stop when I found a room,
P E R F E C T for my sister. We both called each other at the same one, signaling that we had found a room. Running in opposite directions, I made way to the room my sister had picked out for me. And Irene was it gorgeous.

I had the helpers help me put furniture and flowers and my own customizations to add to the room. I thanked them and they soon left.
Soon enough, I drifted asleep from the rough weeks worth of drama. My first nights sleep in over a few days.

-Time skip to morning, I'll do a Dream later or something XD-

I woke up from a well nights rest, I sneaked downstairs to find my mom and dad chatting. I decided to eve drop.

(Ben is her father and Loria is her Mother)

"Ben!" I heard my mom say.
"Loria, we have to have Skylar marry the Eldest or second eldest son of O'khasis! It's our only chance of survival!" My dad replied.
"I DID NOT MAKE THESE KIDS FOR MARRYING SOMEONE SHE NEVER MET! OR FOR TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WITH OUR OWN SURVIVAL!" I heard my mother snap at my dad.
"Well Loria, we have no choice. Death or Marry?" Dad asked.
"Death." My mother chose.
"Very well." My father replied. I soon saw a sharp blade Stab into my mothers back from behind. I looked at my father, he was grinning while my mother was yelling in pain. I ran to her and held her until she died. Her last breathe was used with saying the phrase,

"Live on, love on, laugh on, I will be there in the light, and in the shadows. I love you, and your sister. Be brave, be strong, and always don't forget to sing me a song--." Mother hummed as the light fell out from her eyes.

I weeped while running tell my sister to pack and that we were leaving tonight. She seemed worried at first, but I got her caught up on the news. She responded with a simple 'Alright' and I left her there, deep in thought. I ran back to my room and packed, one thing I forgot to tell you, I was the Former Head guard, but only my sister knew. I kept this secret to myself just in case.

Guard armor: check.
Food: check.
Watch: check
Potions: check
Pendent: check
Clothes: check
Cloak: check

I mentally made a checklist in my head and grabbed all the items needed. I put my galaxy (that changed color depending on the weather) cloak and made way to my sisters room. "HURRY! the guards will be here any minute!" I hurried her and she scurried out the door. "Out the window..." I whispered and handed her a cloak. She took and and quickly put it on. Time to leave this place... Goodbye Thurowind. (Random village name lol) my sister and I sneaked out the gates of the village and made way for the forest. Luckily, we got out just In time, I heard in the distance, guards yelling and searching for us, as it seems. My sister, Delilah was her name, spotted and village far off in the distance. Must be a few miles away, I thought.
"You think we should go there?" She asked.
"Anywheres better than here." I responded, soon enough we were sprinting to this new village.

:..:Delilah's POV:..:
Sky and I sprinted nearer and nearer to the village, I had read about this one, Phoenix Drop was its name? Meh, we'll find out sooner or later.
I saw lights as we neared the village walls, my sister was ahead of me, she always is because of that stupid guard training, LIKE, I CANT BELIEVE SHE WAS HEAD GUARD! Ugh, and she didn't tell me sooner! I had believed it was some hot guy that I had a chance with! I shook off that feeling as my feet snapped a twig below me.
"WHO'S THERE?!" I heard a male voice ask. Around my age (19) I guessed. I quickly hid in the bushes, it's what my sister told me to do, if something happened like this.
I saw a dagger go up her neck and I nearly shrieked, but I knew she knew that he was there. This guy in particular had O'Khasis armor and a sharp diamond sword. My guess was wrong, we were probably in O'khasis, which was not good.
My sister pulled her guard moves on the guy so she was pinning him down, her sword against his neck.
"Skylar is my name." She said slyly. THATS MY GIRL! YOU GO SKY! The guy in O'khasis armor was acting quite frightened. I couldn't tell, because he had his helm on. In a blink of an Eye, I saw a sharp blood red katana enter my sisters side. I shrieked and ran to her side, causing me to get knocked out by the male in O'khasis armor. I groaned and my vision went black.

I awoke in a strange room, no handcuffs, not locks, not bars, just a simple guest room. What's going on?! Where was my sister?! I heard the door click and open, I found that the guy in O'khasis armor entered the room, along with His sidekick I guess, but he seemed oddly....

Familiar.
