Chapter Five- Playing The Part Of The Fools

What did he just say? THAT WE WERE MISSING THE FREAKING PARTY? WELL NO DUH! "Heh, well it's your fault now." I stated. "Then let me take you back to the party." He had a smirk on, oh no, this couldn't be good. I mean, if he was here, that must mean he was invited? "If your wondering, I'm Zane. Nice to finally meet you Skylar and Delilah." HOW DID HE FREAKING KNOW WHO WE WERE?! I managed to put on a smile. "As to you. But may I ask the question of how do you know our names?" I asked politely. "Your my future Wife Darling. Or Garroth's." My face went pale, HOW THE FREAK DID HE KNOW!! But...Garroth? I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! THE UNIFORM THE FREAKING O'KHASIS UNIFORM!

"Oh princess, don't be frightened! I'm no stalker, your dad sent me here to fetch you for the wedding!" Zane stated. "I'm not getting married at the age of Freaking 17." I responded and started to walk back to the village. "Oh well, looks like Delilah will have to do." He smirked. "Uh no, she's not marrying an idiot like you, not if I have something to do with it." I snapped, grabbing my sisters hand and continued walking to the village. As expected, the Zane guy followed us. "GO! I SAID WE ARE NOT MARRYING ANYONE!" I screamed. "Oh, you see, that's not how it works, I'll give you a week, then one of you have to come with me or Garroth. But I doubt he'll want to get married. Heh." A week?! Only a week?! Well, we'll have to make a plan, or move villages before than. I sighed and agreed. "Fine."

~Le Time Skip Cuz I'm Lazy...Again~

I raced my sister back to the party, only a few minutes left of it, will have to do, just a single song. Obviously I wouldn't have won the race, but i let my sister win. She screamed in joy, it was always nice seeing my sister happy. I covered the cloak around my face a bit more, no one needs to know my identity, I saw Delilah's slipping off a bit so I tightened it for her.

"Well hello Beautiful!" I heard a familiar Casanova say. I sighed. "Yes Laurance?" I answered. "May I have this dance?" He asked, holding out his hand. Hesitating, I nodded my head and tighter my cloak again. "Why do you keep yourself hidden?" He asked, dragging me out to the dance floor. "If you knew my real identity, you would kill me." I replied. "Oh..." He said as a slow song came on. Oh Enki, I don't know how to dance to slow songs! I saw Laurance smile as he put his hand on my waist and take my hand into his. Umm, how was I supposed to do this? I made a questioning face and he understood. Soon enough we were dancing to the slow beat of the song. I was looking down at the ground the whole time, I knew Laurance was starring at me. I looked up, I saw...him...My former lord....Tears started rolling out of my eyes and I sprinted away, I just, can't. "W-wait! SKYLAR!" Laurance called after me.

I ignored him and continued running, I ran to the tree where I left my guitar, I swooped that up and ran to a nearby tree and climbed it. I could hear Laurance's footsteps pass below me. I quickly began singing a song. The one I had wrote when my lord...didn't feel the same.

"Skylar..." I heard Laurance say. I almost fell out of the tree, wow, he came out of no where!
"Yeah...?" I answered, keeping my balance.

"Who's that song about...Not to be rude...but I sounds like a heartbreak song...and from my memory, you write your own songs. Right?" He asked, dipping into my personal information. "About my past lord, in my old village....H-he..d-died..." I confessed and started crying. Tears rolled down my face yet again, forming new water lines. "S-Skylar..." Laurance whispered and climbed up the tree to the branch I was sitting on. "If you can..explain what happened..." He asked. I slowly began answering, explaining about this girl that the lord loved, I saw them slow dancing and it broke my heart, at the end he kissed her...I never talked to him again. "S-Skylar...I'm sorry." He confessed. "It's fine, I mean, why would someone even want me anyway...I'm just a-" I said. "Beautiful girl with a lot of talent that looks damn good in a dress? Yeah, that's you. And plenty of people in this village are already drooling over you." He said, which made me blush, for the first time in forever. "Your blushing..." He said and tried to slip off my cloak hood. I didn't stop him...for some reason. I looked down, and covered the side of my face with my purpleish pinkish hair. He calmly brushed it out of my face and turned my head so I was looking him in the eyes...

I saw Skylar and Laurance sitting in a tree, she was explaining what happened when the lord didn't feel the same about her... Oh Irene I feel so bad for her. I looked back up to see Laurance taking off Skylars's cloak, she hid her face behind her hair..but Laurance brushed it out of the way...Skylar and Laurmce were looking into each others eyes...I almost knew what was going to happen next...Deep inside, I know Skylar won't allow it though...Maybe this time it will...Be
