The Girl Who Could Freeze Rain (an Avengers Fanfic)

Chapter 2

"So we finally meet," Romanoff says

"Um... hi," I say, nervously, "Why are you here?"

"Well, obviously, Alice, I am here to take you to S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Absolutely not," I state firmly, bracing for a fight.

"Well, it is your choice, but you should know that if you don't come, the world will most likely end," she reasons. Aw man, I don't want the fate of the world in my hands, but S.H.I.E.L.D. will probably keep me for weeks on end, and I'm not up for that.

"I said no, I know how S.H.I.E.L.D. treats its agents," I repeat.

"Well, if you won't come easily, I know someone who is just dying for a rematch," she smirks wickedly. Oh heck no, she didn't bring him back did she?

"Hello Snowflake, did you miss me?" great, Stark is back. I subconsciously make the wind pick up, the fan starts turning.

"Hello Stark, how was cleaning snow out of your suit?" I smirk, I know I hit a nerve because he tenses.

"Oh, is that why you spent a whole hour in your room crying over the wires you needed to replace Tony?" someone new asks, oh shoot, they must have brought the whole gang because the Captain has showed up. I raise my eyebrow and grin. Stark just glares.

"Why did you bring him, I am pretty sure that Cap doesn't want to spend another 70 years in the snow," hearing this he stiffens, good, "and Stark, were you really crying over a 16 year old girl?"

"As a matter of fact Snowflake, you can't pull that little snow trick anymore, whenever the suit is around you Jarvis picks up your breathing, it is a lot colder than everyone else's, and the suit becomes a space heater, have fun at S.H.I.E.L.D." He glares. Great, now I have to fist-fight a metal man, the world's first super-hero, and the most deadly woman on the planet, fun.

"Wait, nobody told me we were fighting SNOW here!" the Cap accused the other two Avengers.

"Please, snow isn't all I can do," I whisper. All of a sudden I pull the water out of the air and freeze it into two knives. I bring up a wall around me and throw off my school uniform to show a shimmery blue Spider-man suit material top with a sliced skirt and grey leggings. My combat clothes. The wall melts off and I see that Stark is in full costume, good. The Cap came fully dressed so nothing changed with him. Widow hasn't made a move yet, strange.

"Nice outfit Snowflake," Stark states. I blast some ice at his face, catching him unprepared, good he deserved it. Now the Cap looks scared, like someone just told him he would be spending another century as a penguin's house decoration.

"OK, nobody has to get hurt. Your name is Alice, right?" I nod to Mr. America, who is talking. Of all the Avengers this is the one I know least about, but apparently the one I scare most. "Well my name is Steve. (wow, he just gave out his identity to a 16 year old girl, smart... NOT) We need you to come with us so we can catch the freshly escaped Loki and his accomplice, who even our most reliable sources can't track."

"Then shouldn't you get someone more qualified?" I ask. Stark finally gets the ice off his face, I was hoping it would last longer, oh well.

"You are the most qualified Alice," Widow tells me. I laugh.

"Then S.H.I.E.L.D. has lowered the standards it has for taking people," I say.

"That's it Snowflake, your coming with us," Oh, Stark is MAD! 

"Says who?" I ask sweetly.

"Me," he growls before launching himself at me. He wants to do this the hard way, good. I jump over him and run behind Captain, who for some reason doesn't move and yells at Stark."

"Tony, that's not what we came here to do," He states simply.

"Get out of the way Capsicle," Oh my gosh, I have never heard of Stark this angry, it's quite amusing.

"Chill Stark," Widow says. Ha, Chill- ice powers- get it, no, oh well.

"Alice, we won't hurt you and we won't force you to join S.H.I.E.L.D. just come with us to talk," Cap says.

"Well, when you put it like that, it does give me that much more time to laugh at Mr. Metal-man over here, so... sure!" I say happily, what did I just do?
