Love Thy Wolf Mate
Its not as long as I'd have liked it to be, but I didn't have that much time to work on it.
Five:
~~~~Micah's P.o.v.~~~~
I woke the next to morning to the sounds of Kayla's screams of rage, Luke's futile attempts at calming her and Jack's loud, obnoxious laughter. At first-whether it was the fact that I'd just woken up or something else entirely-I couldn't figure out what I was hearing or why. But one look at Kayla's furious face, when I'd managed to drag myself up and out of bed, and it was almost impossible for me to control my laughter. And laughing when she was so upset would have been a very, very, bad thing to do.
“Oh. My. God.” I slap a hand over my mouth when I little giggle slips past my lips and Kayla turns her red, glaring, drawn on face towards me.
Some one had drawn a mustache, goatee and a unibrow on her face, with what looked like abright green permanent marker. It had to have been a bright green permanent marker, otherwise she would have washed it off already. Either way, it was hilarious.
“Its not funny!” With that said she whirls away from me, trying to duck past Luke when he blocks her attempts to get at Jack. Shaking her fist at him, she jerked away from Luke, pointing one, threatening finger over his shoulder at Jack. “You wait till I get you alone, Jack. You're so dead, do you hear me? Dead! I can't believe you did this to me!”
Jack pouts, putting his hands on his hips. “Now hold on a damn minute here. Why do you automatically blame me? It could have been Luke, or Micah, for all you know.” Sniffling, he places his hand over his heart. “You're really hurting my feelings here, Kay.”
“Micah and Luke wouldn't draw on my face with a permanent marker while I was sleeping!” Ooh, so it was permanent marker. “Only you would do something like this.”
Jack cocks an eyebrow, “You sure about that? Micah was the one that hated sharing a room with you, hun-bun, not me. Can you be sure she didn't do it because you were keeping her up all night?” He shoots me a bright, beaming grin when Kayla's head snaps towards me, giving me a thumbs up before he bolted out the back door.
Kayla eyed me warily, “Micah, you didn't draw on my face, did you?”
“Of course not!” I would have never thought of something so funny and even if I had I would have never been able to go through with it. Just don't tell Kayla that. “Jack was just distracting you so he could get away.”
Kayla frowns at the back door and takes a step to follow after Jack, but a low laugh draws both our attentions to Luke. He coughs suddenly, trying to smother the laughter flowing freely from him now.
