Drew's POV

"Austin, lets go! We're gunna be late, once again!" I screamed from downstairs. Austin was one of those people that was always late for everything, and took their time doing what they want. And I was exactly the opposite of that. I needed to be on time, early even so that I can be prepared.

"Sorry babe, was trying to find my sweat shirt. You know where it is?"

"It's right there on the chair, I thought you hated that sweat shirt?" I was getting on my last nerve with him. We have been together for almost 2 and a half years now, and I don't know what it was but we have been picking fights lately. Must be just stress. He just stared at me for a couple seconds with that 'look' that says I don't want to answer that question cause its stupid. "Whatever just grab it and let's go. You know how I don't like to be late babe."

"Okay miss attitude." He through his hands up in the air as if he was surrendering. "I've been with you for 2 and a half years, I think I know how you are babe." Ugh I hate it when he adds on 'babe' to everything he says. It's like he insults me, but then covers it up by calling me that.

"Can we just leave now." I said walking towards the door being followed by Austin. The car ride back to college was silent except for the Bruno Mars cd playing. He was my idol and I just loved every song he wrote. Austin always thought it was stupid but I didn't care. Me and Austin are the total opposite, we just look good together. His dirty blonde hair looked almost light brown, and it matched with my long brown wavy hair. He was only a couple inches taller than me so it was perfect height. His hazel eyes matched my dark brown eyes, and his tan skin matched mine. We looked destine to be together, but our personalitys and interests, are nothing alike.

When we arrive back at FSU we are ready to start a new semester. Well at least I am. I am the one always getting the good grades and studying instead of partying, but Austin, like I've been saying is the complete opposite! He hates studying and goes to every party there is at college. He's lucky I trust him cause if I didn't I would have to ban him from going to the parties to make sure he's not making out with some slut he found off the street.

"Christmas break was over fast huh?" I ask him trying to make small talk as we walk to my dorm, bringing in some clothes I got for Christmas.

"Yeah."

"I was glad we got to spend it together."

"Me too."

"Are you excited about the new semester? I am cause I picked my P.E. class and am taking yoga an I can't wait. It seems like fun!"

"That's cool." He just ignored my question and keeps giving me single worded answers. Did I say something? I'm not even going to try to talk to him about it cause it will just end up into picking a fight over something stupid.

We only had to make two trips each to get my boxes out if my car full of all the Christmas gifts I got. The only thing Austin got me for Christmas was a pair of fuzzy socks and some head bands and barretts. I got him a nice sweat shirt from Cruisers Cafe, which was where we first met but it was the sweat shirt he hated. He hates it cause apparently its too itchy and the picture of an old car on the back wasn't 'appealing' to him. Whatever that means.

He has been treating me like crap lately, we don't have any classes together because he is a year older than me so we never see each other. We only spent a week together, is he sick of me or something? I don't even know.

My roommate Liz helped me unpack the boxes and put the stuff away. I told her she shouldn't be helping, Austin should be but of course he left to go to his dorm and see his 'buddies' he hasn't seen in only 2 weeks instead of helping his girlfriend unpack a couple things. Liz just shook her head and protested against it. We have been friends for a year and a half now, I met her last year when I first joined college. She is very sweet and shy, and is very funny. Her beautifully golden blonde hair stretched all the way down to her ribs, very straight and thin. She has the perfect curbs in all the right places and has boys chasing after her. She always turned them down cause of her shyness to go out alone.

"So things haven't been going good between you too?" Liz asks a couple minutes after Austin leaves.

"He hasn't been the same lately. He never wants to hang out anymore. I obviously care more about this relationship than he does but that's how it's always been." I said shaking my head in disappointment.

"Oh sweetie, everything will be fine. He must be stressing out over Christmas and everything. Did he get you anything? Ooh ooh, what did he get you!?" Liz is now jumping up and down but suddenly stops when she sees my look of sadness spread across my face. She sits back down next to me on the floor criss cross apple sauce next to the half empty boxes. "Did he even get you something?"

"Oh he got me something all right." I pull a pair off blue and purple fuzzy socks out of one of the boxes and place in front of Liz on the floor.

"That's all he got you? A pair of socks that you can buy at the dollar store?"

I shook my head and pointed at the headband in my hair. "He also got me headbands and barretts..probably all from the dollar store." I dropped my head to the pair of socks on the floor and began tearing up.

"Oh sweetie, it's okay." Liz said as she scooted closer to me so she could hug me. "Let it all out hunny, it's okay." She said as she held me in her arms.

"It's like he doesn't even care Liz!" I was saying while sobbing. "I got him a sweat shirt from the Cruising Cafe where we first met and he said he hates it cause its itchy and doesn't like the old fashioned car on the back." I was crying like crazy now.

"There, there. It'll be okay sweetie. He is just a guy all guys need space. Maybe it's his time to have some. I'm not saying break up with him, just leave him be and don't text him as much. Let him do what he wants and when he's ready, he will ask you on a proper date. I'm sure of it." Liz pulled back from the hug and stared at me straight in the eyes. She always knew how to make me feel better. She was a great friend.

"Thanks Liz" I said forcing a smile.

"Now it's 2:00 and I didn't eat lunch yet. Are you starving like me and wanna go get some lunch, or am I just fat?" She asked me with a smile.

"Of course I'm starving and you're definitely not fat Liz." I said laughing playfully. She always was funny and a happy person. I never seen her upset. Never.

"We'll if I'm not fat and you're not fat but we are starving, it sound like a good idea of me to go get fat! Lets go grab some pizza and then we can go to the park and check out guys." She winked at me.

"Sounds like a good idea but, um Austin.." I trailed off my sentence as Liz gave me the look of 'give him space and leave him alone and have fun!' "Lets go" I said grabbing my purse, putting on some flats and heading outside with Liz to her car.
