Amy had just finished her shift at Bar 56, a new unknown bar that had opened 2 weeks ago. It wasn't all that big but it was facing a busy main road where thousands of cars must pass everyday, Amy was sure that because of the bar's position and location that Bar 56 would be packed with people in no time.
Tonight's shift had been the bruiser night since the opening of the new bar and it was safe to say that Amy's predictions were true, Bar 56 was quickly becoming the most popular Bar in the town."Well, that's me done!" Amy gave a sigh of relief as she entered the staff room to collect her coat and bag. "Ugh, lucky! I'm here until closing time.." said a tall figure stood by the kettle. The figures name was Dean, he had chestnut brown hair and beautiful brown eyes to match. He turned to face Amy and leant against the worktop with his large cup of coffee, "You need to leave now Amy!" Dean said with a straight face. Amy quickly turned to face Dean,
"Why, what have I done?" she cried with worry in her voice. "You're making me highly jealous that you get to go home so I cannot look at you one more moment!" Dean dramatically threw his hand up and flicked his head to the left so that he was no longer looking at Amy. Amy burst out laughing, "Dean... You are such a freak it's untrue!" This caused laughter from both Amy and Dean.Amy and Dean had known each other for years and were super close friends with each other. They became close when Dean told Amy that he was gay when they were 16 and since then they have told each other anything and everything.
"Fine I'm going! Text me later, yeah?" Amy says as she approached Dean with open arms. "Of course, no doubt one of us will have some gossip to tell". And with that the two best friends gave each other a hug and two sarcastic air kisses before Amy left to go home.
Amy pulled her phone out of her mossy green parka pocket and texted the group chat that she had with her three other flat mates: Lisa, Carla and Kia.
A: Yoo, just finished work so I'll be home asap✌🏼️
C: Wahoo! Get home quickly we've got a surprise;)
K: Eeeek!
A: Huh? What have you guys done now?
L: Just get home, we're dying to tell youuuu!!😝Amy frowned at her phone while smiling and then walked as fast as she could to get home and see what the surprise was. 'They better not have broken anything' Amy thought to herself which resulted in her giggling quietly as she approached her street. 'Here we go'.
