Chrome had over come a lot of things as time passed. One was keeping the Kokuyo house some what in order. When she was assign to babysit Fran that was a mission. He was in a whole different level then lambo and Ipin. Somehow she managed so she strongly believed this was the case until innocent eyes began to simply stare at her.
"Ah would you like me to read you a book? Tell you a story?" She asked, not knowing what the child would like to do.
Tsuna nodded. He felt safer but he still didn't know her. Story time was one of his favorite time. Besides she had helped him so he would allow her to read him a story.
"Um story" he muttered. He had looked around already and nothing looked worth reading so hearing a story was the better option.
Chrome smiled and began her story. She didn't know a lot of fairy tales, but there was one story she really enjoyed sharing.
She cleared her throat and began.
Once upon a time there lived a lonely girl. She lived in a beautiful huge mansion. The mansion was full of Butler's, private tutors, chefs, maid and even drivers. Even though she had everything she had nothing.
Tsuna tilt his head in wonder. How could someone with everything have nothing it made no sense?
Chrome noticed the kids confusion and decided to explain.
"You see money can buy everything with the exception of love. Which was what she was missing.-" she explained resuming the story.
Even though she could have everything and did she never saw her parents. The big mansion was cold. The servants where there to simply make everything easier not to be her family. She was in so much need of love she decided that a pet could fill that hole.
The young girl missed her parents but how could she miss something that was never given to her? It was raining the day she found a small black cat. It was easy to pick up the kitten and take it home. She nursed it back to health with the help of the maids.
The kitten grew to become a healthy beautiful black cat. The cat became that girls happiness and the love she craved for was easily substituted. She was happy for the time being.
One day her mother notice the cat in her room and decided to get rid of it.
Tsuna frowned. Why would any mama do that? He didn't like this story anymore but he was hoping it would have a happy ending. So he kept listening.
That night the young girl desperately looked for the cat all over. One of the maids felt guilty and finally inform her what her mother had done. The girl was not surprised, yet something inside of her was extinguished. She decided to go out and look for her little piece of joy.
She ran up and down their garden, then moved onto the streets. She was about to cry when she heard a small cry. Looking left and right she couldn't find the source until she look up. Their he was the little fluff of joy.
The setting sun caused the cat fur look purplish rather than black. She had to save him. Knowing full well that climbing the tree was a bad idea she still did it. That cat held her happiness and she wanted to protect it at all cost.
She managed to reach the top safely. She called out to her cat and the moment he was sadly in her arms, she fell.
Tsunas eyes went wide.
"I'd she OK? The kitty?!!" He asked worried.Chrome chuckled softly. "Yes if course they are okay" she replied. "She went to the hospital and was saved by a cat looking man. Who ironically almost shared the same name as her lost cat. He helped her escape her cold house and gave her a warm place that can be call home. It wasn't as fancy but she was happy" she finished quickly. Realizing the kid wouldn't be able to be able to understand the details of her story.
Tsuna brushed his eyes with the back of his hand. Yawning afterwards.
"That was nice" he told her as he laid down on the couch. "Hmm how about another one. But more happy. Like um the-" he mumbled the rest.
Chrome slowly stood up and places her thin cardigan over the kid.
"Hmm i see how about a story song?" She hummed. All she got was a simple nod and another yawn from the child.
She patted her back as she hummed the lullaby her boss's mom would hum for Ipin and Lambo. It didn't took long for the kid to fall asleep.
"Ma...ma" he whispered in soft cries.
Chrome eyes soften. She was so happy that she took Mukuros hand when he offered it. Now she had this family.
"-and thank you boss...for expanding it. And for allowing me to grow." She thanked him as she looked over him.
Chrome was kneeling at the side of the child making sure he wouldn't roll off. Seeing the child sleep so carefree made her sleepy too. It didn't took long she soon join the child in a deep slumber.
A loud explosion caused the entire mansion Windows to rattle loudly. Chrome eyes were assaulted by thick smoke.
"BOSS!!" She called out but no child was at sight. She sprint to her feet her eye squinting trying to find the child. Her eye caught a piece of purple cloth in the floor by the door.
"It's my cardigan?" She muttered
She sprint into the Hall way. A couple of Vongola's men where running towards her.
"Mam!! Are you okay??" They question her. They had their guns pulled out.
"Are we under attack??!!"she asked.
" yes mam" they answered as they got some orders on their ear piece.
"It's okay go. I'll be alright. If you see a child that looks like the boss, take him into custody and protect him!" She order him as she sprint the opposite side they were going. "Spread the word to everyone"
It was the worst case scenario. She was the only guardian in the Vonogola mansion and their boss was only a child. She would leave the Vongolas men protect the mansion she had to find the child boss.
//o.o this was not supposed to be a serious chapter lol. Yet it turned out like this!! Soo who should be next? I was thinking of maybe hibari dropping by OR ryohei returning home early? What you guys think?//
