A Summer in April

Chapter 2

He quickly rose from his chair and followed me out of the door. He gripped my arm tightly as we walked out the doors. "Are you okay?" I asked looking at him bent down and gasping. He nodded and looked up at me. This was the first time I got a proper look at him. He was absolutely gorgeous. He had light stubble and breathtaking blue eyes.
"I...I don't d..do well in loud." He stated. He could tell I was looking at him strange and he blushed. "My s..stepbrothers wanted me to to come." I nodded and stuck my hand out. "I'm Jackie." I gave him a wide grin as his hand touched mine. It was obvious now that he was different but that only drew me in more. "I Ni.." NIALL I heard a shout from the entrance and to men with brown hair shot out the door coming towards us. "Where the hell did you go you know you had to stay where we could see you!" The tallest man said completely ignoring my presence. The blond boy who I'm guessing his name was Niall peered up at the both of them with rosy cheeks. "I needed out." They just rolled their eyes then glared at me. "Are you the one who took him out?" The shorter one said in a sassy tone. "Yes, I would be the one I thought he was having a panic attack." I fired back. "Well you should know to leave disabled people alone." Niall looked at me longingly. "D..Don't call me that?" He raised his voice. The tallest one mumbled something under his breath and grabbed the mans hand and pulled him toward the parking lot.

I walked back into the club thinking about Niall and how his step-brothers were absolute dicks to him. I walked around the club looking for Jenny or Harry. Eventually I saw a curly patch of hair that belonged to Harry. I tapped him on the shoulder. "Do you know where Jenny is?" "She said she was going to look for you, she'll probably being coming in here soon since she hasn't found you." I nodded and sat down at the barstool next to him. Me and Harry got on pretty well, we chatted lightly and sipped on our drinks.
      An hour later I am sitting on my couch thinking about the blind boy from the club. I try to think of why his stepbrothers were so awful to him. I try to free him of my mind and got into the shower. I washed my hair and made sure I was clean. My new jobs started tomorrow and I was beyond excited. That night I went to bed with butterflies in my stomach.
