Chapter 7: The 10 Pups

After the wedding, Skye and Chase had spent a lot more time together. It was Christmas eve and it was snowing outside. They were very busy when all of a sudden, Ryder called the pups to the Lookout. "Come on Chase! Ryder needs us!" Skye said. They ran to the elevator and Marshall crashed into them- as usual. The elevator went up and the pups got their gear on. "Ready for action Ryder, sir!" Chase said. "Pups, Chickaletta has gone missing. Mayor Goodway has asked us to find her and bring her home before Santa comes. Chase, I need your nose and your net to catch Chickaletta." Ryder said. "Chase is on the case!" Chase said. "Skye, I need you to be our eyes in the sky. You can spot Chickaletta from the air." Ryder said. "This pup's gotta fly!" Skye said. "Paw Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder said. Chase and Skye went down the slide and landed in their vehicles. They drove along until they reached city hall. Chase sniffed the inside of Mayor Goodway's purse. "Aachoo! Sorry, but I have her scent. This way!" Chase said. Meanwhile, Skye was flying around looking for Chickaletta. "Ryder, I've spotted her. She's on top of the train station eating corn." Skye said. "Thanks Skye. We're on our way." Ryder said. The Paw Patrol came and got Chickaletta back to Mayor Goodway. Then they went home and went to sleep. The next morning, under the tree, there was a huge box for Skye and Chase. They opened it, and inside were puppy supplies. "Huh?" Skye and Chase said at the same time. "Look, a note!" Skye said. Chase pulled it out of the box and read it. "Dear Skye and Chase, I am very proud of how well you have done keeping Adventure Bay safe. I have a reason to give you these puppy supplies, and here it is. Skye, you are pregnant with 10 pups. I know you are probably thinking that I'm crazy, but look at your belly. Have a merry Christmas!" Skye looked at her belly. "Well, he's right." Skye said. About a month later, Skye gave birth. There were 5 boys and 5 girls. Skye and Chase named the boys: Lucky, Storm, Faolan, Chase Jr. and Max. Girls: Skye Jr, Bella, Moon, Pepper, and Star. Star was the runt of the litter and her parents loved her a lot. A few weeks later, they were up and running around. Bella and Max liked to pick on Star, and Storm always stood up for her. "Hey Star, bet you wish that you were dead!" Bella said. Suddenly Storm woke up from his nap and started growling at Bella.
