Marinette's POV

"What's wrong, My Lady?

I scream, jumping off my bed and tumbling down the stairs. I land with on my floor a hard THUD and I groan. I'm gonna have some major bruises. When I lift my head and open my eyes, I see Chat Blanc sitting on my bed, a sinister grin playing on his lips. "Chat?" I whisper uncertainly as he lanks down the stairs, coming towards me.

"Hello, Princess," he snarls. Chat reaches the bottom step, and he crawls towards me on his hands and knees. I scoot away quickly, getting away until my back hits my wall. Chat Blanc edges very close, and I am at the point of screaming. As I take a breath, prepping my lungs for my scream, Chat Blanc launches himself at me and slaps his hand over my mouth. He scoots closer to me, his face two inches from mine.

"Do you understand how much pain you've caused me? Do you understand how much I love you?" he questions, his hot breath on my face. "Do you understand I would die for you?" I kick my feet, attempting to kick him, but he sits on my legs. I struggled, wiggling, trying to get free, but Chat is too strong.

And then Chat Blanc, the boy who nearly killed my best friend, the boy who endangered lots of lives, the boy who had anger in his eyes and fire in his soul did something completely unexpected.

He kissed me.

It wasn't the soft, passionate kind of kiss. It was rough, and hungry, and demanding. Chat Blanc forced his lips upon mine, wrapping his hands around my head, pulling me closer. I struggled, twisting and turning in his grasp, but he wouldn't let me go. I raised my hands, clenching them into fists, and repeatedly punched his leather chest. Chat growled into my lips, still hungry. I finally mustered up all my strength and raised my hand. With extreme force, I swung my hand, my palm colliding with his face.

Chat surged backwards, completely stunned with the force of my blow. As soon as he was off of me, I jumped up and bolted for my door. As I ran down the stairs, I heard a deep growl coming from my room. I whimpered as I ran faster, bolting out of my apartment and into the bakery. I slid in front of the counter, hoping Chat would pass me on his way out.

And I waited.

I waited, and waited, and what for seemed like an hour, no sounds - or Chat - surfaced. I shook silently, fear overcoming me. Darkness settled over the dark bakery, the outside world gone quiet. It was already past sunset. "Chat really wants... he really loves me," I whispered to myself, my voice crackling with fear.

"Yes, yes I do, Princess."

I choked down a scream as I looked up, above the counter. Above me was the insane Chat Blanc, smiling like a maniac. I closed my eyes, not daring to look again, as I felt a claw trace my jawline slowly. My heart was pounding out of my chest, a drum playing a rapid beat. The claw left my face and I heard one single thing; one harsh whisper.

"Run. If I catch you, you belong to me."

Never had I run so fast in my life before. I bolted out of the bakery, out into the cold streets of of Paris, the only light in my dark world the streetlights. My feet pounded against the concrete as I ran, hard, to anywhere. I turned on multiple streets, not knowing where I was going, weaving myself a path in the city of love. There was no one out on the streets, admiring the night, which was strange. I was alone in my nightmare.

I turned a corner on another street, and immediately I choked on my breath. There, leaning against a telephone pole, was Chat Blanc, examining his claws. He glanced up at me, his gaze 'innocent', before he said exactly two, heart-stopping words.

"You're mine."

-*-

My hair whipped in the wind, my eyes closed tight, as Chat ran along the rooftops of Paris. I screamed, an endless, wordless cry as Chat carried me off to somewhere, anywhere. I pounded my fists against his back, but he didn't seem to notice as he hauled me off to wherever he was taking me.

"Stop squirming, Buginette," Chat Blanc finally said, his words almost lost in the wind. "It's getting really annoying to carry you over my shoulder like this." I growled angry before screaming ,"LET ME DOWN! LET ME DOWN! I AM NOT YOURS!"

Suddenly we jerked to a stop, Chat loosening his grip, and I fell forwards, on my back. I rubbed my head before opening my eyes. Chat Blanc stood above me, his mouth twisted into a snarl, and he crouched down low to my face. "Didn't I say you're mine? I caught you, didn't I?" he sneered, his face contorted with rage. He gripped the side of my face harshly, jerking it to the side. "So that means you belong to me," he said quietly. He then hefted me back onto his shoulder.

I may not have been Ladybug at the time; I was just Marinette after all. I couldn't transform, because I left Tikki back at home. So Marinette was all that I got to work with.

Which wasn't a problem.

Tears slid down my face as I made one last attempt to save myself. When he lifted me onto his shoulder, I lifted my leg as high as I could, and with all my last strength, I brought it down on Chat's stomach.

"UGH!" Chat grunted, slamming towards the ground, dropping me in the process. I stumbled out on the rooftops, tripping over things I couldn't see in the dark. I heard a hiss, and I turned around. I could barely make out the angry amber eyes of Chat Blanc, glaring at me, still hunched over.

"I- I told you, Chat. I don't belong to you. Or anyone. And I- I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused," I sobbed, trying to get a desperate hold on reality. Chat groaned once more, and he got to his feet. He narrowed his eyes on me, obviously rage burning inside of him. "Sorry doesn't fix everything, Marinette," he growled, his gaze burning. "You of all people should know that."

Chat limped towards me, slowly, and I stumbled into a wall, immediately sliding down. I can't win this, I thought to myself. "After all," Chat Blanc continued, his gaze piercing, his face only a foot away. He lifted his hand, and carressed my face softly, his claws heating my cheeks.

"You should know about heartbreak; the pain, the suffering. You should know about the heartbreak, when torn between two people. When your heart is being toyed with." Green energy started to swirl around him. He's... He's detransforming, I thought numbly, my captured gaze on his insane grin.

"And you should know a simple sorry does not fix it all, Princess." Green light enveloped him, and I averted my gaze, the light too harsh and blinding. I glanced back, at my head went numb, as well as my heart.

Adrien smiled, amber eyes glowing, his hot breath on my face.

"Sorry."
