Jerome's Pov

I growled and looked at myself in the mirror. 

The secret side of me, I never let you see. I keep it caged but i can't control it.

 There was knocking on the door and I heard Mitchs' voice. 

"Jerome? Open up please! Whats wrong?" He begged

My growling got continuously louder. My eyes blackened from the rage I was feeling. I ripped the mirror off the wall and I threw it across the room. 

So stay away from me, The beast is ugly. I feel the rage and I just can't hold it... It's scratchin on the walls, In the closet, In the halls. It comes awake and I can't control it.

  (Flash back)

I walked proudfully into my school with my 5 friends, Preston, Rob, Lachlan, Vikk and Mitch. 

Me and my friends split up and went to our lockers. Mine was the farthest from everyone else's lockers. 

When I reached my lockers I heard laughing behind me. 

"Look who it is. The bacca bear." The guy said. The girl behind him laughed. Suddenly there was this voice in the back of my head saying 'Kill this piece of shit'

"What do you want Ryder?" I asked, turning around to see him

"I want you to leave. Its just that simple. Leave and never come back. Everyone here but your friends hate you. They think your a Monster. They think you have no right to Exist. This place is no place for Hybrids, Jerome. Its best you leave"

I growled and rage filled me quickly. I cracked my knuckles. "So be it." I growled. My voice no longer my own.

"Jerome!" Mitch called. 

I turned to look at him and he saw my eyes. His eyes widened with fear. 

"Look what you've done" Ryder said "Your scaring other students"

I was near breaking point. "You don't know what your causing Ryder." I whispered. Ignoring Mitchs Presence. 

"Oh really, What am I causing?" He asked in a taunting tone.

I turned and lost it. I punched his face as hard as I could. I heard a satisfying crack of his nose breaking.

"JEROME!" Mitch yelled rushing over to stop me.

I ran around Mitch and ran home.

(End of flash back)

I fell to my knees and I yelled out in rage.

  Hidin under the bed, in my body, in my head. Why won't somebody come and save me from this, Make it end!

The door broke open and Mitch and Lachlan tumbled into my room. There was a big mess in my room. I was covered in cuts. Mitch fell beside me and hugged me tightly. I whispered something.

"Save me from this..." It just came out. It was hardly my own voice. "Make it end..."

"Jerome, buddy. Are you okay?" Lachlan asked. 

"No! DOES IT LOOK LIKE IM OKAY?" I yelled jumping up and away from Mitch. I backed against the wall.  I felt something fall from my eyes. Blood.

  I feel it deep within, Its just beneath the skin. I must confess that I feel like a monster.

Lachlan and Mitch gasped. I ran toward the window and jumped through it landing on my feet. Mitch on my tail. 

I ran through the woods and headed toward my favorite cliff.

  I hate what I've become. The nightmare's just begun. I must confess that I feel like monster

I Stopped at the cliff and felt someone behind me hug me tightly.

"Biggums. Please don't." He whispered.

"Mitch. I have to confess something." I said "Two things actually."

"Say it." He said.

"I must confess that I feel like a monster. I also have to confess that I... l-love you." I whispered the last part

  I,I, Feel like a monster. I,I, Feel like a monster!

"I love you too, Jerome. You are no monster. Not in anyones eyes. Not even Ryder's" He whispered.
