I still haven't forgotten about what happened.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He's reading a book about Da Vinci. He got bored and sat on the couch but didn't turn on the TV. Nothing seems to interest him now.

He sits there thinking, was it his fault?

Maybe he shouldn't have told her to get over her fear of heights and ride the ferris wheel. Maybe he shouldn't have brought her to the carnival anyway. And maybe she'd still be here.

The room is dark, curtains blocking the light of the sun which would've made the room brighter. He looked at his phone. It showed 39 missed calls from both his divorced parents. Huh, he thought. Looks like they didn't forget after all.

He thought their parents would help him through these times, that maybe this would somehow bring the family they had back together. He was wrong though, ever since their parents broke up and left them alone 10 years ago, they've been busy with their own lives. They didn't even know about the news until a week later.

He frowned at the thought of them. "Who needs them anyway?" He thought bitterly. They both left him and his sister alone at a young age, and convinced themselves that sending their weekly financial support was enough, that somehow they still loved their kids from their first marriage.

But now he's all alone. All the happiness and light suddenly disappeared after her 'accident'. And as he sat there in the darkness of now, his apartment, he had one question that kept repeating in his mind.

What do I do now?

Should I continue my normal life? But... I can't. I can't forget. I can't move on. She's gone now and there's nothing I can do about it.

He closed his eyes and tried to clear his thoughts. He never wanted this to happen. He only wanted the best for her. He felt his eyes watering up but he fought the urge to cry. "This won't make me feel better," he said to himself.

He was about to sleep when he heard a loud knock on the door.
