The Movie Night

As I get dressed I try not to think about how weird things have been lately.

I mean, ever since my family and I have moved back here this town has been different.

I remember how I used to play outside with Stiles and how our families would have dinners together.. that was before the accident.

Before my Mother died and my Father was blinded..

Shaking my head, I say out loud: "Don't even go there Cass."

Then, I feel my phone vibrate, a text from Stiles asking if I wanted to hang out.

"Sure" I text back.

I glance at myself in the mirror, I wonder if Isaac will be there?

I pull my thick, red hair into a messy bun, do my makeup then grab my keys.

We're all at the bowling alley: Scott, Stiles, Isaac, Lydia, Allison, and I.

We're beating the guys asses, or are they letting us win?

I whisper to Allison, "You think they're taking pity on us?"

Giggling, she says, "Definitely not, Scott sucks at bowling and Stiles is not athletically gifted!"

"Hmm, what about Isaac?" I glance over to catch him already looking at me.

"Well he is doing better than the other boys, but not to worry, we're the ones kicking ass tonight!"

"You can say that again," Lydia sits down after a strike, "Your turn Cass!"

I grab my emerald green bowling ball that matches my eyes, my lucky charm all night.

As the ball rolls everyone can see it'll be an easy strike.

"COME ON CASS, LET UP A BIT!" Stiles shouts.

"What would be the fun in that now, Stiles?" I say, laughing.

Scott comes over to us, "It's clear you ladies have won the game so perhaps we should go eat now?"

"WINNERS TREAT!" I hear Stiles say.

"Yeah sure let's go," I say.

"But you guys are DEFINITELY paying!" Lydia, Allison, and I say in unison.

When the pizza arrives we all dig in.

"Oh my.. Oh my God i was so hungry this is the best pizza i have ever had!" Stiles says chewing, mouth full and all.

"Hey, hey! Manners Stiles.." Lydia says to him.

I laugh at him, and take another bite of my pizza.

I feel a foot tap me under the table, it has to be Isaac because he's sitting right across from me.

"Watch it long legs!"

"Oh.. I'm sorry, can't help it." He says.

I feel his foot tap me again, twice.

I look up at him and see that mischievous crooked smile..

I raise an eyebrow at him and his smile widens.

We're just staring at each other now as he continuously taps my foot.

"Cass, Cass! CASS!" I hear Allison repeating.

"Huh.. yeah?"

She glances between Isaac and I, "Umm, I was wondering if you guys wanted to have a movie night, you know stay up all night watch Rom Coms, snacks, all that."

"Yes to the snacks, no to the Romantic Comedies, I'm more into horror" I say, with a smile.

Stiles interjects, "Uhhh.. I'm kind of with Alison on the um movie choice there, The Notebook is intense enough.."

I stare at him, "I mean or not! Whatever you want is fine too Cass I'll just you know cuddle up to Lydia.."

Lydia raises her eyebrows at him, "Or Scott then!"

Scott looks at Stiles, then Allison, "OR NO ONE GEEZ.. TOUGH CROWD!"

I giggle, "It's okay Stiles, I'll protect you from the boogey man."

I look up at Isaac who seems a little annoyed, as we walk out i ask him "What's the matter, don't like Horror movies?"

He whispers, "No, that's not it at all. I just wonder who will protect you while you protect Stiles.."

"Don't you worry Lahey, I'm a big girl!" I say smiling.

-Isaac's POV-

We're at Allison's house, her Dad went away for some 'business trip' yeah right.

I'm popping the popcorn while they pick a movie to watch.

"Okay so, Insidious, Friday the 13th, or Paranormal Activity 4?" I hear Allison ask.

"Friday the 13th, It's a classic!" Scott says.

"But i hear Insidious was REALLY scary!" Cass says, enthusiastically.

"It's a tie!" Allison says.

Cass walks over to me, "Which one Isaac? Insidious or Friday the 13th?"

"Uh.. Insidious?" I say, as if I know alot about movies.

I've barely even had a teenage life due to my Dad, nevermind time to go to the movies.. But he's gone now so why not?

"Good choice Lahey, Insidious it is!"

I bring the popcorn over as Lydia cuts the lights out.

Everyone is laid out on the floor, Scott next to Allison (Of course), Stiles in between Lydia and Cass, then me next to Cass.

"What a dream.." I hear Stiles whisper.

"SHHHHH!" Everyone says to him.

As the movie gets good I see Allison, Stiles and Lydia trying to cover their eyes, but not Cass.

Shit. She's so badass, but also hogging the popcorn we're sharing.

I try to grab some and she swats my hand away, "Hey!" I whisper.

She looks at me with a grin, then stuffs some popcorn into my face as all the others scream at a scene on the screen.

We both laugh, then turn our attention back to the movie.

In the middle of the second movie, everyone is asleep besides me and Cass.

"You really love scary movies huh?" I ask her.

"You don't seem to dislike them very much either, or are you too scared to fall asleep?"

"Haha, but no, I stay up late all the time."

"Hmm, night owls roam together."

A sex scene comes onto the screen and she watches intently, i can hear her pulse speeding up.

She must feel me watching her because she turns to me, "What?"

"You're just really pretty.. admiring you know.." I say, touching her hair.

She glances at me, then the screen.

The couple having sex gets killed, and she looks back at me, "Romantic."
