Pink Lemonade

what's up?

May's P.O.V

School started about a month ago. I haven't spent  a lot of time in the flat,   I was only there if I had to sleep or shower. 

I did most of my work at the campus cafe, where I had also managed to get myself a job. It meant I could sit and work before and after my shift with free tea to keep me awake. If I wasn't there I was either in the drama studio or hanging out with my new bestie Daisy. Yeah Daisy, the girl that Luke had pressed against the wall in the hall on my second night in the flat. Turns out she's on my course and we work together in cafe, she's actually really sweet. Since we became friends we've helped each other start fresh for university, I cut my hair it once sat wavy on waist but now its about two inches under my collar bone and almost  three past my collar bone when I straighten it and she's dyed her hair so its now a dirty blonde as well as dragging me on a shopping trip to restyle her wardrobe because she wanted to change her look and help  her become the confident women she wants to be. I don't know if I wanted to laugh or be jealous. For a someone doing film and theatre she's no drama queen, she's super chill.  we spent so much time together after she saved my hair from falling in my vomit at the freshers week welcome party. 

Today Daisy and I where on baking muffins since it was a Sunday, and Sunday is baking day in the cafe. I always did the Sunday baking shift, the cafe is closed on a Sunday so you didn't have serve people and daisy and  I could sing and have fun.

 I woke up and got dressed in a pair of thick black leggings and a long dark red collar shirt before throwing my hair up into a messy bun, I grabbed my baby blue work shirt and took it into the kitchen to iron it. 

When I was finished I made my way down the busy city streets admiring the beautiful autumnal weather. The trees are losing leaves and landing on the path and crumbled under my boots. As I arrived I saw Daisy talking to the guys that do the lunch shift after daisy and I who do the morning shift. I hadn't really spoken to either of them but  I knew one of them was called Gabe cause he'd always be the one to bring me my tea when id stay to work after my shift.  I was slightly confused since it was normally only daisy and I who did the Sunday shift. sometimes Kate would join us. Kate was no here to be seen I couldn't see anyone with pastel pink hair in the kitchen so I decided to go over to daisy and the boys. 

"Hey lovely" I smiled as I walked towards her, she hadn't changed into her uniform yet so that means I don't have to go into the back room alone. 

"Hey" she beamed at me before introducing me " this is Gabe and Kyle. They are gunna help us bake today" her face lit up and winked at me meaning she has her eye on one of them.  

I couldn't help stare at Kyle, his eyes where such a beautiful shade of blue, grey almost, but either way they were amazing. his hair was short and black and messy, but not scruffy. It was like a hot messy. and that jaw was so sharp and his lips where looked so soft and kissable. I bet he's a great kisser. damn i need to stop eye fucking this guy. looking away I gave a friendly smile. Before asking "Gabe you normally draw a smilely face on my take out cup right?" 

"No thats Kyle, he only  does it on the pretty girls cups" he laughs nudging Kyle with his arm. Kyle replied with a small smile and a wink directed at me.

About  3 hours and 200 hundred muffins later we had finished baking and we are on to decorating we each had 50 cupcakes to decorate. I was on the chocolate muffins with fudge icing.

Once everyone was done and changed we decided to have a free hot drink. I had spent most of the day working with Kyle and now we were making our tea. we even took it the same way two sugars milky. 

"so what course are you on?" I ask him finishing making my tea. 

"English language" he replies with his deep smooth voice making me weak at the knees. it turned out we had so much in common. For example we take our tea the same way we both love the colour red and we both love the same music and we have the same favourite band, panic! at the disco. we took the same ALevels, and we both watch all the same shows.  If you ask me thats odd, right? 

As the four of us sat and laughed as we sat on the counter in the kitchen. 

When i checked my phone it was almost 10 pm at night and my shift started at 7 tomorrow so i said my goodbyes and left. 

Just as I left I heard Kyle run after me screaming my name across  the campus while he ran towards me. When he caught up with me he wasn't even out of breath even though I was on the other side of the  court yard. 

"hey? what's up?" I giggle at him as he runs his hands through his hair. I bet his hair is really soft, like his lips, and I still think he would be a great kisser. I need to stop zoning out I just completely missed everything he just said. " could you repeat that please?" I ask him awkwardly. 

"well I was just, well i've got spare tickets to a local concert, its my friends band. they do a lot of covers of Panic! and yeah do you maybe want to go with me? I get it if you say no, but I think it could be really fun?" he looks at me with big puppy eyes there is not way I could say no. 

"that sounds perfect, id love to go with you" I go up on my tip toes to kiss him on the cheek before walking out when I hear him mumbling something to himself. 

when I get back to the flat I see Charlie practically eating Amy's face her legs around his waist. Gross. anyway I go and flop on my bed before calling Daisy and telling her everything that had just happened.
