Give up what exactly?

That question runs through my head way to many times for it to not be answered.

I had decided that I'd walk home after whatever mini fallout Harry and Edward had just to clear my head.

I need to focus on school. My classes. I need to find Bailey, she's been completely AWOL for a couple days and I need to be with other people.

I walk up to her dorm and knock on the door. It clicks open and I actually surprised she was here.

But wow does she look.. Tired..

As she opens the door further I say "Are you okay?"

She leans her head against the wall and says "Yeah I've just got all these AP classes and I've had no time to sleep." She tries to fix her hair -matted birds nest, or is that to mean?- and she straightens up her glasses.

But it's the first day..

"I was just wondering if you wanna hang out I know its way past dinner but just throw your hair in a bun and we can go get ice cream." I say cheerfully.

She agrees and not long after she emerges better looking and with brushed teeth.

As we walk down the hall Blake and Niall are walking towards us and I try to wave to them but make sure Bailey doesn't see.

Blake glances over to Bailey then smiles at me before we pass them.

"So this is how college is for you? Barely escaping your dorm?" I ask walking down the sidewalk.

"Well yeah Jessica college is for work. Not to fool around with people that'll never help you in life."

I feel like that is directed to me but Bailey doesn't even know half the stuff Liam does.

Am I starting to feel guilty?

I nod and it stays quite all the way to the ice cream place.

Walking inside the temperature drops and I'm lucky I wore my jacket. Bailey shivers and says "So how are your classes?"

We both step up into the line and I opt out on telling we about Harry and Edward.

"Okay I guess, I should've picked other classes though."

"Why's that?"

Oh because you know those two guys you told me to stay away from, well I went to the club with one of them then he forced his lips on me and now this Friday I've got a date with the other one. Does that sound slutish or should I say it again?

"Just a little boring is all."

We both pay for two scopes of ice cream then sit in chairs by the window.

"Oh well if there's still time you can change into my literature class. The work is hard but he's a good teacher."

I smile then lick the side of the cone because it'a already dripping.

"So did you see Liam today?" She says looking for a napkin in the empty napkin holder.

I chuckle then say "No haven't seen him. Why did you need to tal-."

"Do you need a napkin?"

Bailey's eyes shoot up but I already know who that voice belongs to.

"No thanks." I say without looking at him but he extends his hand to the table and places a pile of white napkin on it. I glance at the designs on his arms before he pulls away.

Bailey grabs a couple and starts to wipe away the dripping ice cream.

I meet eyes with Edward and he has the same sly smirk on his face from the day I met him.
