I Need Food. Stat.

"This isn't right," she muttered. Her fists clenched in sudden.

"It's all wrong. It shouldn't have happened. This isn't fair."

I took another quiet step forward, curious. What on earth was she talking about? Then an almost eerie glint sparked through Mom's eyes.

"Soon," she whispered. I had to lean forward to hear it. Almost as soon as it started, the moment was over. The glazed look left my Mother's eyes and she started walking my way. Shock raced through me and I scrambled to the side, hiding in a shadow of the darkly lit hall.

No sooner had I hid than Mother came out of my room. Not even looking back, she walked to her room and closed the door. I let out a breath. She was definitely acting weird.

Keeping quiet, I crept back downstairs and went back to bed.

"WAKE UP!" someone screamed in my ear.

"AHHH!" I screamed. My arms flailed about as I sat up. My eyes shot open and I looked accusingly at Liz, who was giving me one of those deadly sweet looks.

"Ohhhhh Mellieee," she sang. I groaned internally. She was about to ask for something.

"Apparently, there's a sale going on at the mall today, and I noticed that a certain someone hasn't been there in - what is it?- three weeks? I pity the poor girls soul." she smirked, throwing a pointed and innocent look my way.

"I'm sure her poor soul is perfectly happy just staying home and sleeping." I shot back. Immediately Liz put on her puppy dog pouty face.

"PLEEEAAASSSEEEE!" She begged, grabbing my hands with her own and tugging them. I groaned internally. Why why WHY me?

"Fine," I snapped.

"But stop pulling me."

Liz's whole demeanor changed in the span of five seconds.

"No FREAKING way. You're actually going!? I can't believe this. Okay. First things first. We need food. Then we have to get you ready to go out in public. I'm a big fan of the natural look, don't get me wrong. But I think bed head is a couple seasons out of style," She shot out, barely taking a breath.

I reached up and attempted to tame the bird's nest. Giving up, I stood up.

"Sheesh. Harsh much?" Now to everyone who thinks I'm such a jerk- not true. But I'm not really a morning person. I'm sure you can tell that, though.

"I need food. Stat," I declared, echoing Liz's earlier words.

"I need food. Stat."

David chuckled at Melissa's declaration.

"I don't think I've ever met a girl that doesn't like shopping," Jason commented, listening to the live feed from the Brown's house. Boss had come 'home' last night claiming that one of his resources had set them up with better intel devices. Hence, the listening device.

"I don't think I've ever met a girl that talks about food that way," David retaliated.

Boss had sent the boys over to the Brown's house starting at 0800 sharp. They had been sitting there for hours and finally the girls had gotten up around 10am. Jason was actually glad the girls would be going out today. Sitting in a hot car for an entire day sounded extremely boring.

"Well, you heard the girl. Guess we're going to the mall," David said, leaning back to wait for the girls to leave.
