Marinette was sitting at the edge of her bed, pale and still. The red being, whom called herself Tikki, fluttered in front of her.
"Marinette, Marinette! You mustn't be so dull! I didn't mean to bring you into shock, I promise! Master Yu sent me. You have to be the miraculous holder. You are the chosen one!" Tikki squeaked with excitement. Marinette looked down at the pair of plain black studs in her palm.
"Fine. But you have to explain everything to me. And I mean everything."

Adrien let out his fifth sigh in the three minutes he had been in his room. He was tired from fencing, and he had a headache from Chinese lessons. Natalie had been chasing him around all day to get him to his next lesson, and it was finally the end of the day. He could finally rest.
Falling backwards on the bed and squeezing his eyes closed, Adrien brushed a lock of his blond hair out of his face. He then sat up and opened his eyes... coming face to face with a tiny black cat thing.
"AH!" He scrambled backwards on the bed, pressing himself against the head board. The figure floated closer. Adrien reached behind him for the closest thing he could throw - which just so happened to be his alarm clock. It sailed through the air as the black Kwami ducked casually, crashing against the wall. Well, it was about time he got a new one anyways.
Adrien shuddered when the figure was close enough for him to stare into its green eyes. The black cat then grinned widely. Adrien recoiled. It's breath stank like Camembert.
"Sorry about that. Not." The black cat sang giddily. "I'm Plagg. Your miraculous! I'm the Kwami of Bad Luck. Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Adrien Agreste." The Kwami, Plagg, swept a teasing bow. "You may call me God."
It didn't take Adrien long to accept this.
"Forget it. Your Plagg." He glanced down a the plain silver ring that Plagg was holding out to him. He took it, careful not to make physical contact, and slipped it on his ring finger. It slid on perfectly, which confused him a little.
"So, Plagg. Are you my genie in a bottle, or something?"
