Love high and low (Jasmine x Oscar)

Jasmine blinked as she felt a sudden force coming from behind her, followed by a groan of pain. She slightly turned her head, and to her surprise, it was Oscar, his calculus books on the ground as he rubbed his temple. Jasmine giggled and bend her knees a bit, reaching up to his height to help him.

Meet Jasmine C'Miles, one of the tall girls in Ohio School of Cambridge Excellence High. She was considered pretty and quite smart too— though she could be rude at times.

Now meet Oscar Nivera, The smarty pants, sarcastic nerd, he wears framed glasses, complimenting his short and rather chubby figure.

And it was rather shocking to say that they are in a relationship.

Well, even though no one in school knows about it...

It all started when they were given a project by their teacher , they had to do a presentation on the history of Chinese New Year , it had to be at least 32 slides , man was it tough but they did it though , they un expectedly had fun . This is how it all begun.

On February 13th , they both had agreed to meet up at the local coffee shop near their school , what started out as a work in progress turned to loud snorts of laughter . They had so much fun joking around , flirting and sharing stories that they didn't even notice that they've been there for more than 5 hours , the shop was about to close and so they packed their things and went out .

Unfortunately it was raining , Jasmine frowned and thought about just running back , until Oscar pulled her arm and said " Jas , why don't we both just use my jacket? i don't want you to get a cold "

Her heart warmed at the gesture and a shy smile found it's way up her face , Oscar thought her smile was the more adorable thing there could ever be . He couldn't think straight , he just kept looking at her at awe , he didn't realize that he was staring at her that long . Her adorable smile turned into a confused one .

So he snapped out of his captivated trance and muttered a quick "Let's go " . Jasmine was confused "did i do something wrong?" she thought , a frown crept up her face at the thought of doing something to upset Oscar . They went of running with Oscar's jacket covering their head trying their best to not get their hard work drenched in rain .

After a minute or two , Jasmine stopped running and told Oscar to slow down , she had to ask Oscar what was wrong , she was a girl who always said what was on her mind . Oscar stopped quickly not wanting his dear Jasmine getting worse and end up getting a cold , "what happened back there? at the coffee shop...why were you staring at me ?" questioned Jasmine , curiosity shown clear in her eyes .

Oscar was dumbfounded he had no reply , his throat was dry , struggling to get any words out of his now nervous self , after being silent for a minute or two he finally thought it was time to tell her how he really felt , he's been eyeing her from afar for ages now , for some reason she always caught his eye , he could never take them of off her , she was smart, pretty, funny and everything more. She was his definition of beauty.

Finally with a nervous sigh and ragged breath he finally said it, the words Jasmine has been waiting for " You Jasmine, have the most magnificent beauty, amazing personality and everything more , so no matter how hard i try, i will always look at you because to me....you are perfection and my destination. "

Jasmine's cheeks reddened at his words , she was stunned and unable to speak , everything turned into a slow motion when Oscar finally kissed her , forgetting all about the jacket that was keeping them and their project dry but at that moment , they had no care in the world , all they cared about was having each other's lips on theirs .

Their kiss was soft and passionate , it may not have lasted long but it will always be remembered. Oscar caressed her cheek gently , Jasmine gasped in surprise and slowly opened her eyes , "that was my first kiss" she thought , what she didn't know was that it was also Oscar's first kiss . It was a first kiss none of them would forget.

Both of them smiled like idiots as they stared into each other's eyes, filled with newfound love.

" I feel the same way about you too Oscar.... "

* The Present time *

Jasmine giggled and her cheek filled with rosey red blush thinking about that time , an absolutely magical time she will never forget .

After that dream filled day , they both started dating for a very long time , but secretly because they had no intention of hearing what others thought of them , all they wanted was each other's feeling being returned , that was enough .

Jasmine hadn't realized she had been zoned off for quite a while until Oscar started stroking her cheek gently , snapping her out of her trance and asking if she was alright .

"A penny for your thoughts dear ? " asked Oscar

Jasmine just smiled and said nothing , still feeling giddy about that first kiss with the man she loved .

She finally shrugged off the memory to try and read her all time favorite novel  but that didn't last very long . 

" Hey Jasmine? " Oscar questioned, looking at her who was currently reading her favorite novel. She slightly turned her head towards him and shot a questioning look. " Yeah? "

" Wanna go on a date— "

" — At the cafe you confessed for our anniversary? " Jasmine finished for him, making him smile.

" how did you know i was about to say that ?" Oscar asked while chuckling

" Cause i know you too well " she giggled

They went off holding hands to their favorite coffee shop to celebrate their 3 year anniversary .

Wether it's height difference , age or society levels , it doesn't matter as long as you love each other , the strongest bond of all .
