Lily's POV:

I was finally allowed back to school. But unfortunately I still had a spinal halo and a cast on my leg along with crutches. A random boy walked up to me.

"Hey do you need help with those books?" He asked. "Umm no that's fine thanks." I said awkwardly. I hopped along to my locker holding my crutches and books.

"Hey Lils." Trevor said smiling. "Oh hey. What do you need?" I asked uncomfortably. Trevor scratched the back of his neck. "Listen, I'm sorry for being such an asshole. It was totally uncalled for." He apologised. I smiled back at him. "It's fine." I replied shutting my locker.

Ms. Norbury smiled at me. "Welcome back to school Lily. Hopefully it goes a bit better for you." She laughed indicating to my crutches. "Yeah. And Kylie's nicer this year. So... I should be safe." I chuckled.

Kylie sat next to me smiling. "What's it like to get hit by a bus?" She asked curious. I scratched my neck awkwardly. "Not fun. It's really hard to get dressed." I replied awkwardly.

Tara and Piper came over. "Hey girl! Welcome back!" Piper smiled. I laughed. "Hopefully this year luck will be on my side." I joked. Kylie laughed.

That laugh will be the death of me. Please you survived getting hit by a bus. I think you can survive a laugh. Whatever. But when I die with a smile on my face you'll know why. Corny much? I know but whatever.

"Earth to Lily." Tara said waving her hand in front of my face. I blushed. "S-sorry." I stuttered. Kylie rolled her eyes. "How many times do I have to tell you to not say sorry for no reason? None of this is your fault." Kylie scolded me. "Sorr-" I started.

"This is what I'm talking about." Kylie interrupted me. Tara nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You need to grow a backbone and stop saying sorry when it's not your fault." Piper ranted. My eyes widened in fear. "Er I'm so-" I started.

"Don't you dare try and apologise again." Kylie interrupted.
