Lana Europe Ashton Vernon, age fifteen, goes to Richland D . James magnet high school and lives with her dad and sister. Her mom died a couple years ago and since then Lanas dad hasn't really been there all the time. So every day after school, Lana goes to work and then takes her sister to McDonalds after to get  a happy meal. Lana can only afford one because her dad will never give up any money for food, field trips, uniforms, or almost one-third of the bills. All the money that goes to those things come from her mom's bank accounts and will money. It's not fair that Lana is the only one in the family having to provide like a single mother. But she has to anyways. Today May 20th, 2022, Lana and her sister got kicked out of the motel they were staying in because they couldn't afford that either. They got kicked out of their home first, then their apartment, then last and second to least the motel. Lana couldn't take it anymore. Just to tease her big sister, with a big long face Lilia, said, "So I guess were gonna have to eat each other now huh Lana". Lana screamed "Lilia if you don't stop with the negativity I'm gonna-,"  "You're gonna what!" Lilia sharply replied. There was a deep silence. "Lilia you're makin' it very hard for me to take care of ya, I don't like it one bit, NOT ONE!" Lana told Lilia. Lilia didn't respond. First, Lana thought that Lilia was just being a little baby, but, when Lana turned around Lilia wasn't there. Lana called out " Lilia I ain't playin' with ya! Get your little tail out here! Lilia!". Lana heard a little giggle then "My names Lilia, pray tell, what's yours!?" but after that, she heard a boy's voice "Mine is Eavan, Eavan Collin, no S but yes I do work out" Lana giggled but she had to focus. Lana was flaming with anger so she ran to where she heard the voices, saw Lilia grabbed her by the arm, but while Lana was walking away, Eavan shouted, "Hey what ya doin'!" But Lana kept walking, she wasn't trying to lose one more person in her life.
