Maka had left the two behind her after she saw the burning image of the two kissing. She heard the door to the doctor's office close and foot steps echoing towards the opposite direction from where she was running. Her walk turned into a run as tears started pouring down her face.

Why did he have to kiss her? She's a witch! Why did Blair look so happy about kissing him? Why....is it bugging me so much? She wondered why she really did care so much. Why it bugged her so much, but wasn't able to find an answer because she had bumped into Death the Kid and bounced backwards.

"Kid-kun?," Maka muttered making sure that her voice didn't shake and rubbed feverishly at the still flowing tears.

"Maka? Are you okay?," Kid asked and reached out a hand towards the crying girl. She took it and pulled herself up from the floor and thought of how she would always blush when Soul caught her hand and blushed a slight pink. "So mind telling me what happened?" Kid asked and led them to a nearby bench.

"It's all Soul's fault," Maka whispered and felt the warmth of tears slide down her face again, then started saying words that came up against her will. "I saw Blaire and Soul kissing. But I saw myself being in Blair's place, being the one kissing him, the one loving him, but she was there in a place I felt only I could have and it just felt so....so wrong!," she shouted her tears now selling unstoppable. Tears of sadness. Jealousy. Anger.

"Maka...," Kid whispered her name softly and pulled her in for a hug. "What would you do right now....if I said I could see myself with you. No one else but you." And pulled her back softly gripping her shaking shoulders.

"I...," would say I can't is what went through Maka's head at the moment but different words started to from as the jealousy took over her mind. "I think I would be able to date you," she said startling herself at how calm she seemed.

"Really? Even though...you....might like Soul?," he asked with a bitter tone, a tone of pure jealousy.
"Yes...," she said aloud but no....was the answer that ran through her head. Because she wasn't in control anymore, the anger, jealousy, and sadness were.

"Then are you saying...," but Kid never finished as Maka had nodded and tugged him toward her, and kissed him. The kiss felt unnatural. Like a new world was lain out for her but it was a world of nothing but black. A world that was too silent for her but the thoughts of hers echoed too loudly in front of her.

Just as they kissed and the gates of the new world opened, she heard the gate stop opening, only halfway opened as the door to the doctors office opened and two different footsteps echoed. Soul and Blair walked next to each other with Blair's face stained with tears. A look of defeat and hatred....and jealousy.

Blair and Soul walked opposite directions, Soul walking towards them and Blair walking down the hallway in the other direction.

Soul took a glance at them but that glance was enough to see what was in his eyes. His eyes had turned into a sort of glassy look for a second and Maka saw her and Death kissing each other in those small mirrors. But beyond that mirror, she saw a heart that was torn into small pieces that didn't seem fixable.

He walked passed the two without another glance, as if scared that it wouldn't just damage his heart, but his soul as well.

"Maka?," Kid called in a whisper and turned her chin towards him. "Would you like to visit my house for a little bit? It might be....awkward if you go home just now and be with Soul." Maka looked at his eyes and nodded slightly at the plea in them and let him lead them towards the doors of the school.

They walked in an awkward silence without holding each others hand or doing anything a normal couple would during a night walk.

"Hey Maka, do you want to try riding the Beelzebub with me?," he said after a moment of silence and look toward her waiting for an answer.
"Sure," she replied a forced a slight smile on her face.

He brought out the flying board and urged her to get on with him as the board started floating a little. Maka got on and leaned towards kid as support so she wouldn't fall off.

"Hold on tight if you need to okay?," and started making the board go higher and higher letting them see all of Death city. The view of it fascinated her and made her forget for a moment of Soul and Blair and everything that happened until her eyes led her to their apartment with had all the lights to it off making her realize one thing. Soul still isn't home.

"Lets get to your home now. But thanks for the great view," Maka said smiling slightly at Kid who seemed satisfied with the mood he created. He lead them down in a now soothing silence towards a big perfectly symmetrical house.

The went in through open doors and through a maze of hallways and rooms slowly stopping at one in particular.

"This is my room. Lets go in," Kid said and got off the skateboard ushering Maka off as well and putting it away. And strange as it felt, Maka felt Soul's soul pulsing from behind the doors and without and hesitation opened the door to find Liz, Patty, and Soul sitting on the floor in a small triangle not noticing the noise of the door opening and Maka and Kid who seemed to be frozen stiff at the doorway.

"Well that's my signal for me to head back," Soul said breaking the silence which hung in the room and got up walking toward the door a hand up and waving. He smirked with his pointy teeth showing and closed the door behind him right as Kid started yelling.

"Patty, Liz, you better have a perfect explanation for this," he said with a heightened voice, pointing at the door that Soul had closed behind him.

"Oh, well you see Soul has a crush on Ma-," Patty started and was cut off by Liz's hand mashed against her still open mouth.

"He just came to uh....say we have Group Soul Resonance practice since it's been a while," Liz stammered and dragged a waving Patty, opening and shutting the door behind her. Kid and Maka stared at the door which the three had left from, blinking and thinking through what had just happened.

"That was...awkward to say the least," Maka said with a laugh, but her mind was somewhere else as she sat on a nearby sofa. She wasn't so dumb as to not finish the rest of the sentence. Soul has a crush on me, she thought. Or was silently hoping that that was what Patty was going to say. And Kid had other things to worry about.

"Ugh...these assymetrical people messed up my perfectly symmetrical room," he cried grabbing at his hair wildly and got out a ruler fixing the little details that most people wouldn't find the least bit annoying. They sat in silence for a bit, a weird mood hanging in the mood until Mama's eyes started drooping from sleepiness.

"...ka....Maka?," Kid called pulling her back into the harshness of reality as he lightly tapped her shoulder.

"Yeah sorry," she answered and yawned slightly getting up from the sofa she had taken a small nap on. "Well it looks like I have to get going soon," and stood up abruptly,"and I'd like to walk home by myself in some silence to think through things."

Silently she traveled through the maze of rooms and hallways and stepped out into the cool night of the city streets, not turning back once towards the symmetrical house.
