Daichi's mind was currently hazy. Between whatever drug that was laced into his portion of the food and the view of Tanaka's death behind him, his brain was having a hard time processing everything at once. His eyelids drooped as he bounced along with Suga's every step.
"Just hold on, Dai-chan," Kōshi had muttered calmly upon getting the both of them out of Ennoshita's small apartment. "I'll bring you to a place where we can both be safe and live together... heh..."
Suga's shoulder, which was digging uncomfortably in Sawamura's stomach, bounced up and down as he ran, preventing the captain from answering. They entered a building in the eastern region of the prefecture, but only after traveling for about twenty minutes in such a position. Looking at the tall town clock easily visible in the distance, Daichi could see that it was only 5:00 p.m., and the date was April 9th, a full nineteen days since the madness deemed a "game" had started.
It hadn't even been a month, and nine of the closest friends he'd had were now dead.
With that wonderful thought in mind, the captain didn't resist against Suga's hold (though he probably couldn't have even if he tried), considering it a punishment on himself for the fate of his teammates.
"Take me away, Suga.. I can't ever face Chikara again.." He choked out, the shoulder still providing much pain even without adding the countless deaths in. The figure of said Chikara had dropped away in the distance after Tanaka's fall. Daichi himself watched as Ennoshita sank to his knees, bending over to hug the baldy around his neck. It didn't take a genius to figure out that there were tears involved, as well.
Suga smiled as he climbed the stairs; it seemed that Sawamura was finally coming around to see his point of view on the present issue. "Good. If that's what you want, I'll gladly carry it out."
Despite the ascent, Kōshi never missed a beat in climbing, his thin frame never wavering. He practically beasted up the steps of the tower, and shot like a rocket into one of the rooms.
"Where did you take me?" Daichi asked simply, trying to shift his focus off of the guilt for even just a moment.
"A random hotel, where we can forget about this stupid game forever~" The eerie singsong voice returned, but Sawamura paid it no mind. As much as he was very pissed at the young man in front of him (for several reasons), he'd immediately complied with his one request. Which didn't exactly put the captain himself in a situation where he could be picky. "Should Ennoshita come by and try to kill me, I'll make sure he never bothers us again."
"So, you paid for the room yourself?" Karasuno's number one questioned again, hoping to get some real answers this time.
"No, silly, I didn't. In fact, I just brought you here now on an impulse."
"But how..? You must have had to reserve, or pay, or something!"
"Why would I need to? There's no one else in this town besides us. There hasn't been anyone else in Miyagi since the start of the game."
