Random, but don't you hate it when you have an AMAZING book and then the sequel just ruins it????
Alya figured it out Marinette thought frantically. The ombré haired teen had sashayed out, hands on her hips, when the bell rang. Marinette was dumbfounded. How did she know? She wondered.
She slowly stumbled home after grabbing a copy of the script. She ambled slowly towards her house, tripping on riots and rocks. Tikki spoke up. "At least she's your best friend. It would be BAD if Chloe found out." Marinette felt comforted at that and relaxed enough to do her homework. She called Alya, but was rewarded with a screaming from the other end. "I MEANT IT WHEN I SAID I EXPECTED AN INTERVIEW!!!!" She yelled.
The line went dead. Marinette looked hopefully at her kwami who shrugged.
A bright flash and she was gone.
The rooftops of Paris were slippery under her feet but after time she had gotten used to it. Her yo yo clung to the bell tower of an old cathedral and she swung herself onto Alya's roof. She sat down, sliding on the terra cotta roof-tiles down to the widow pane. The window opened upwards. She slipped inside. Alya was waiting, phone in hand. But before her friend hit the play button, Ladybug held up her hands to stop her. "No. I want to know: how did you figure it out?" Alya shrugged. "Well, you're my bestie and my idol so when the teacher pointed out how similar you two are, it clicked. All of the badly timed bathroom disappearances and excuses, you PURPOSEFULLY locking me in a zoo cage with Nino right after Marinette discovered his 'crush' on me. The history textbook, you talking to your purse and smuggling cookies and oranges to your Kwami-"
Ladybug interrupted her, blushing beneath her mask. "The cookies were for Tikki. The oranges were just me smuggling myself some food."
Alya chuckled. "By the way, I get why you didn't tell me. I've watched enough superhero dramas to know that you didn't want to hurt me, correct?"
LB nodded.
But it made sense that Alya knew and she was glad she didn't have to lie to her best friend anymore. It was very nice.
Alya hit the R e c o r d button. "So, when did you decide to fight evil?" She asked. "I-I was chosen." She said.
"By whom?"
"By nobody you know."
Alya clicked her tongue, irratated.
"Okay.... What school do you go to?"
"I would prefer to keep that a secret."
Alya moaned in frustration. "You're supposed to answer the questions, Ladybug."
The heroine promptly left, jumping over the purple bed and through the open window, landing on the glass part that pointed up and pushing it down while simultaneously jumping up and throwing her yo yo towards a chimney. Off she went, the beloved Lady Luck.
When she got back to her small bakery home, she immediately detransformed, collapsed in her bed and started reading the script.
Scene one: The Introduction
Narrator: Welcome to Paris, city of love and famous all around the world. But who protects it? The police force of course, but there is a greater help. The heroes Ladybug and Chat Noir!!!
Heroes enter
The introduction was just the generic stuff, like what they did and what akumas were.
Then came scene two.
Scene Two: The Designer
Rose screams and the heroes turn from narrator.
Chat Noir: Don't worry, Milady. I've got this.
Ladybug: I can handle it.
Max enters wearing The Designer costume
They fake fight
Ladybug tears scarf from Max and throws paper butterfly: Bye bye butterfly...
Chat Noir: That was a pawsitively good fight
Ladybug: Oh Chat, what would I do without you?
Both lean forward like they are about to kiss but are interrupted.
Marinette blushed. ALMOST KISS? ADRIEN????
Narrator 2: what Akumas have you fought?
Then they'd list all of the akumas and their causes and powers.
And after that nothing big happened, but she picked a scene at random.
Scene 15: The Thanks
Ladybug: Chat Noir is the best sidekick anyone could ask for. He's smart, strong, and fast. I'd like to thank him for that.
Marinette growled. Sidekick? Chat Noir is my partner.
Chat Noir: And Ladybugs my best
friend I've had. Thanks to her always being there.Ladybug: Awww, thank you.
They kiss.
"WHAT THE..." Marientye screamed and dug her fingers into her face. This was the most stressful thing since school. And those fanfictions she had been reading on Wattpad. Those were SO FILLED WITH TENSION AND UGH. She stared cursing. Crapcrapcr- wait. This wasn't bad. This was the BEST OPPORTUNITY EVER. She thought joyfully, but still nervous. A beep interrupted her thoughts.
She looked down at her phone. A text was on the screen.
~
Adrien BÆ😍: Hey Marinette this is Adrien Agreste. I was looking over the script just now and was wondering if you would like to come over some time or if I came to your house. Tell me if you can soon bye.
~
How in the world did he get my number? Marinette asked herself. BUT ANYWAYS AGHHDHHSBSNSNS OMG HE TEXTED ME FIRST!!! She texted back after waiting five minutes (this was Alya's advice; she had talked to her beforehand) to be fashionably late. She said,
~
Hi Adrien. I would love to practice the play with you sometime. When are you free? And p.s. How did you get my number?~
She hit send and soon she saw the 'read' sign under the texts. Awww, he hasn't turned his read receipts off.
After a long conversation via text, Marinette feels a lot more at ease around Adrien but she sill loved him. Very much.
He would come over to her house tomorrow and they would try to memorize the script.
That night, Marinette had trouble calming down enough so she could sleep.
