Chapter 2

"Hey, hey, Lena! Another news!" Thea rushed to her friend's table. Lena was reading a book. She just raised a brow

"Another monster attacking the city" Lena answered in monotone while reading.

"Not that" Thea crossed arms

"What?"

Before she reply, she picked something from her bag and put a newspaper in Lena's chair. Lena, still reading, glanced at her friend.

"See this?" Thea pointed at a picture in the cover page "It's now the talk of the town" she continue

"And what about it?" Lena ask without looking at the picture.

Thea clasp her hand. "She's a HERO! She fought all the stupid creatures! She even take 10 of them. A certain photographer witness it. She carries a swo-" Thea was cut by the strong closing of the book by Lena. She then look at the newspaper Thea showed her. It was her back that was shown with her hair freely sway carrying a sword on her right hand facing 3 creatures. Gladly, a bit of darkness covered her identity.

'Th-this is me!' she thought.

"You've been staring at it for a minute. What's with deal?" Thea snapped her finger.

"A-Ah, uhmmmm, nothing. I'm just staring the monster face. T-they do look horrible, right?"

"Obviously, they are monsters"

"Yeah" as she reads again her book.

"And they said, the girl there is a highschool student. " a male voice interupt their chat.

"In that picture, she wear a skirt which was the skirt of this school" as he pointed at the picture. Lena raised a brow.

"So, you're saying she came from here, Ethan?"

"If my deduction is pretty right, I might get a chance to be a detective." Ethan motioned like he was holding a tobacco pipe. Lena rolled her eyes

"Whatever"

"Ethan !" another male voice call his name

"Hey, Blake" as they do a punch-to-the-hand.

"Morning girls" Blake greeted the two ladies

"Morning" Lena say lazily

"Hey, guys, did you read at the newspaper?" A girl classmate gossip to another girl

"Yeah. She's cool. She's brave enough to face those disgusting creatures" she replied.

Lena, Thea, Ethan, and Blake just look at those classmate gossiping and chattering.

Ethan lean on the window with hands on pockets.

"Well, news really spread" He state.

'And now, I'm the talk of the town' Lena thought as she lean on her palm.

The door open and their teacher walk in.

"Now, now, quit the gossips and let's start the lesson"

Night time

Lena hurried to her Uncle Wayne's mansion. Now, she carefully planned her step.

'No throwing thingys?' she then run to the lobby and tip toes.

'No traps?' she then run again towards the door.

'No wires?' she open the door and revealed her uncle standing staring at the window with his back facing her.

"Uncle" she spoke at the silence in the room.

"Hey, dear Lena. mind I ask why are you here?" he then face her

"I-I want to know--"

"About the sword?"

She nodded in affirmation.

"Okay, Let's take a seat"

"Do you remember what I told you about your mother's disappearance?" he ask

"Yes."

"To tell you the truth. Your mother was prisoned. She's in deep slumber"

"What? slumber? What's this all about?"

"Did I mention a necklace yesterday, right?"

"The moonlight necklace"

"That necklace is a powerful amulet that it grants a wish. It may be an impossible wish or a possible one. For that necklace was forged by a very powerful magician who once lived in this world. You should get it and revive your mother again. However, you are not the only one who wants the necklace in the hands, those creatures that roam every night, are the minions of a powerful creature. "

he explained

"W-wow, I never thought there such a necklace" as she clench her fist.

"That's why, I gave you the Lunar Blade, this weapon will be your sword and shield, Lena" as Butler Charles handed over the sword.

"Be careful, Lena" he continue

"I will, uncle"

"From now on, you will be the one to keep that sword. That is a magical sword, you have the control of it. Just concentrate and control wether you need it or not."

Lena walked out of the room and head over the city where creatures roam.

She unsheathe the sword as she walked at a standing creature

'I am trained to be this, therefore I shall let my training enhance my skill' as she jumped and stab the monster. Then, again run and jump from roof to roof. She then slay 3 lurking at a park. She land and slay each of their heads. She then sidesteps and turned around facing the monster's back and cut the head . She flips and slay the feet. Her hair flow freely. She then slay at her back and jumps backward as a claw was about to slice her. She landed in one knee and tackle it and stab at the chest.

All the creatures fade into smoke.

Another crowd of creatures walk nearly to her.

Meanwhile, in the mansion, her uncle stared at the large moon in the night sky

"Lena... I hope your new life wouldn't let you down"

Back to Lena, who was busy slaying and stabbing.

"On the night of the Fullmoon" He continue

Lena jumped and kicked one and stab one in her side and crouch slaying a leg. Sweat crept in her face

"Under the 18th brightest moon after your birth" He continue gripping the cane

Lena rest her hand on her knees while the other rested on the sword as the tip pointed at the ground.

"Your fate will change when you met a person"

Lena charged at the creatures and each slay in different directions.

" When two eyes met, fate will changed and never be change."

Lena finally slay the last one. She heard another roar and it was a figure standing at the electric pole. His figure is of a human, only the red eyes, the pointed ears, his long hair up to the torso made him a creature.

"Who are you!?"

"Avoid the eyes or one of you will...
