Percy POV

When I woke up, I was laying in my bed. Weird thing: I was at the small apartment in which me, mom, and Paul live....

Just as I started to sit up, Thalia came into the room holding two cups of coffee. She gave one to me, then sat down on the end of the bed.

"I figured you wouldn't wanna go back to camp." she said, and the events of last night came rushing back into my mind.

"Thanks Thals." I said, taking the mug away from her. She just shrugged.

"It's fine." but I could tell she was really only trying to convince herself.

"No, it's not. I know you gave up being a hunter for Nico." I said, and tears rimmed her eyes.

"Percy, please. Drop it." and I did. I could tell she didn't want to talk about it.

"What time is it?" I asked, changing the subject.

"About noon. You slept like a little baby." she cooed, pinching my cheek. I slapped her hand away and stuck my tounge out at her. We both started laughing, but it died quickly.

I looked at Thalia and studied her. She usually used hair gel and stuff to make her hair spikey, but today she just let it be. Her thick black hair was layered and hung past her shoulders. She wore some of the clothes Annabeth had left here- a white Florence+The Machine tee, gray shorts, and black suspenders. She only wore a little bit of mascara.

Appearently, she caught me staring.

"I look different, don't I?"she asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, but different looks better on you. I can actually see your face now." I siad. She blushed and smiled, even though it quickly vanished.

"I always dressed like that because Nico said I looked cute. Well, so did Luke...."she tralied off, but I knew what she ment. She had always liked Luke.

"Well, why did you suddenly dress like this?" I asked. "Not that I'm complaining or anything, it's just I can barley recongnize you."

"Well, I have no reason to dress like that anymore. I hid who I truely was in order to get them to like me, but what's the point now? Honestly, I love dressing like this-" she gestured to her outfit. " and I need to stop hiding."

She took in a deep breath.

"And if people don't like it, well they can suck my big toe." She looked into my eyes, and I felt as if my brain was melting.

"Well, I think you look beautiful. Plus, you don't look as scary!"

"shut up..."

                 ~time lapse~

When I had gotten out of the shower, gotten dressed, and ate it was already about one p.m.

"Well, you take forever to get ready." Thalia said with her arms crossed.

"I'm sorry I'm not a morning person." I said with sarcasm.

"It's not even morning anymore! It's one in the afternoon!" she exclaimed.

"Same difference. It's all the same to me. Whenever I wake up is morning to me." Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Your just lazy. That's what your problem is." I bit my lip. I couldn't argue- I knew it was true. "Uh huh, yeah. You know I'm right." I rolled my eyes.

"Thalia, what happened last night? After I blacked out, I mean." I asked, and she sat down with a sad expression.

"I yelled at Nico. Found out Frank, Leo, even my own brother dated Annabeth for a while. Then I shot Nico." she said, and little tear drops rolled down her cheeks.

I sat down next to her and wrapped my arms around her. She burried her head in my neck and started to sob.

She sobbed like this for about five minutes until she calmed down. She lifted her head up and I could see black stains on her cheek from where her mascara had washed out.

"Come on, let's wash your face." I grabbed her wrist and led her into the bathroom. She sta on the toilet as I dampened a washcloth. Handing it to her, she began to wipe away the black spots and her remaining mascara. When she was done, I tossed the cloth into the hamper. She went to grab the tube of mascara, but I stopped her for two reasons. 1:She may break out sobbing again and 2: she was beautiful without it.

She understood (well, the first reason anyways) and set the tube back down.

"You realize sooner or later we'll have to go back to camp."I said, and she sighed.

"I don't wanna go back..." she said.

"Neither do I, but we don't have a choice. It's the only safe place for us."

"There's always Camp Jupiter" I facepalmed.

"It was accidentally destroyed during the giant war. Why do you think the romans are still at camp?"

"weLL, i'm not going back to camp. I wouldn't be able to handle it."

"What are you suggesting we do Thalia?! We don't have a choice!" I was frusturated. I saw her point- I would probably rip Nico and Annabeths heads off on sight- but really, what choice do we have?

Thalia looked up at me, her eyes wide as if she had an idea.

"We can go on the run"

A/N

Major heartbreak alert! Someone's gonna die in the next chapter, so i'm just giving you a warning. I have to do this to play out the story how I see it.

#The Face of True Awesomeness

P.S.- If Thalia's personality seems a little off, it's on purpose. I needed to tweek their personality's just a bit to play out the story.
