Percy POV
"I'll be right back!" Annabeth yelled over the loud music. I nodded as she ran towards the back of the party. I figured she had seen Piper or Thalia somewhere.
I looked around at all the people dancing. Today I turned seventeen, and the gods threw an epic party on Olympus. Everyone was happy, but nobody could look happier than Thalia. The silver glow she had gained since joining the hunters had disappeared, and I knew why. And I knew she was looking for Nico.
Who, speaking of which, I caught a glimpse of from my seat. I called his name, but he didn't hear me and walked away. I got up to find him, and followed him until I ran into Thalia.
"Sorry!" she squeked before asking me where Jason was.
"Last time I saw him, he was dancing with Piper near the snack bar." I told her. She smiled at me before running off. I went back to looking for Nico, though it seemed impossible. As I looked at the back of the room, I saw him. With some blonde girl, and I thought of that Aphrodite girl he had told me about. Emma... I think her name was.
I came closer, then realized I was wrong. The blonde he was kissing? My girlfriend- Annabeth. Next to me, Clarisse and Chris had been dancing until they bumped into me. I didn't move, just stood there in shock.
"What's wrong with you, Prissy?" Clarisse sneered. Chris pointed at them... and gave me a look of sypmathy.
Annabeth pulled away from Nico and looked at me.
"Percy! Please, let me explain!" she cried. Anger rushed through my veins, and it took everything to stop myself from killing both of them.
"No! I hope your happy with Nico, Annabeth. Cause we're through." I said through gritted teeth. I had gone to Tartarus with her, had done EVERYTHING for her, and she still went behind my back with another guy?
She tried to grasp my hand as I walked away, but I shook her off. Tears started welling in my eyes, and I wiped at them. I didn't want to cry, at least no here. I turned around once I got far away, and could see they were kissing again, and my heart broke into a milloin pieces. Again.
Someone ran into me, and I stumbled. When I regained my balance, I saw Thalia looking up at me, eyes filled with tears.
A/N
So, chapter two, and no one has come to my house bearing pitchforks and other dangerous weaponary screaming at me about breaking up Percabeth. This apparently means my fellow shippers are gonna give this story a chance.
Anyways... what was I gonna say? Oh, yeah. I do not own PJO or HoO.
