Song is Daddy Lessons by Beyoncé
♪♫--♫♪
The moment Jordan's finger touched my lips, fire coursed through my veins.
"I..."
I hated the fact that I got so tongue-tied around him.
He moved his hand and placed it on mine, gently picking it up to lift it to the piano.
We made music together as he guided my hands. He nuzzled my neck as we played and I felt a tingle run down my spine.
The song.
The song was all too familiar, and it made my blood turn to ice and I shivered.
I glanced at Jordan and he sensed my discomfort.
He was clearly enjoying this.
"Kill her," he whispered,"kill her and I'll stay."
A smile tugged at his lips and as he watched me, his head cocked to the side.
"Kill her before it's too late."
I shot up from my seat as if I had been electrocuted, my eyes flashing with alarm.
He couldn't know.
I shook my head, slowly backing away from him before turning and walking away.
♪♫--♫♪I slowly opened my eyes as sunlight filtered through the curtains in my room.
"Morning sleepyhead," Caroline said with a smile as I opened my eyes. She was sitting at the foot of the bed, waiting for me to get up.
"Just five more minutes," I said groggily, turning onto my stomach.
Suddenly, the covers were lifted off me and the cold seeped through my clothes.
"Hey!"
"Get up!" she got off the bed and came towards me. She leaned down and rubbed her nose with mine, grinning mischievously. I sighed, knowing I would have to get up now that we had done our morning tradition.
I put a finger to my nose. I promised I wouldn't cry. Not anymore. But it was so hard, everything reminded me of her. I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing.
I wouldn't cry.
I blew a strand of hair out of my face and trudged towards the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and yanked my hands through my hair, trying to tame the tangled mess. I went to the closet and pulled out my uniform. The Academy of Music and Performing Arts was a school where uniform was required, but the uniform was quite stylish so I was fine with it. Girls had to wear a black blazer, a grey tartan dress with a white collar, maroon thigh-high stockings and maroon shoes, while boys had to wear a black blazer with a maroon border, a grey tartan shirt, grey pants or shorts, black shoes and a maroon tie.
