After Amy returned to the waiting room and told Louis everything she heard, Louis was shocked. Harry was his best friend and he never once told him about any of this. Hailey must have really done a good job of killing Harry's self esteem with women if he wouldn't even talk to to him about it.
"So what are you going to do?" Lou asks his wife.
"I think it's time to have a talk with Hailey. Find out why she decided to leave the way she did so long ago." Amy tells her husband. "You know, tell her we just got married and I was so upset because I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask her to attend because of the way she just dropped out of our lives the way she did." She says.
"I'm going to tell Harry we're taking the kids home, I love you so much." Lou tells his beautiful wife.
"I love you to." Amy says kissing Lou's cheek. "Make sure he's okay, Lou, he's in a bad way too." She says. Nodding Louis walks toward Autumn's room to let Harry know what they were doing and that he could stay there with Rainy.
An hour later Lou was standing at the back door of his home watching the two cutest little girls he's ever seen play together while his wife yelled at her cousin on the phone for what she did to Harry all those years ago, he was so glad he wasn't Hailey right now, Amy has been at this for at least 45 minutes now and still going strong.
"Well let me tell you this, Hailey, it's a good thing I didn't find out about all this when it happened. You should be ashamed of what you did to that wonderful man." Amy tells her cousin. "If I ever see your face around my house, husband, child or best friend again I won't be held responsible for my actions. Stay away from me and my family, Hailey." Amy yells. "We don't want you around." She says slamming the phone down.
"Well?" Lou asks walking up behind Amy hugging her close.
"She never cared for him at all. All she wanted was exposure, and Harry was someone she could use as a leg up in her modeling career that never went anywhere." Amy sighs. "When he refused to make their relationship public she got pissed, knowing it could hurt her chances at better photo shoots. If she was seen with a big star like Harry then maybe that would make her more credible, get her the bigger spots in the fashion shows." Amy tell him as they watched the girls. "She used us all, Lou."
"Well she's out of our life now, and we can make sure she stays that way." Lou tells her. "Harry and Autumn need us now and now that we know what the problem is we have the tools to help them." Lou whispers. "She just has to live."
...................A month, Autumn has been in a coma for a damn month and even though Harry could see she was gaining some weight with the iv nutrition she was being given, to him, it didn't seem to be enough. He wanted her to wake up so she could eat and talk to him. He wanted to see her beautiful eyes, even if they looked at him with hate. Over the past month Harry never left Autumn's side unless it was to take a quick shower or to use the in room bathroom. Either Amy or Lou would bring him clean clothes or food when they would visit, and when allowed, they would bring Emily to see her Aunt Rainy.
Harry had his head on the bed beside her hand, resting his eyes after reading the morning news paper to Autumn, he had gotten into that habit just to have something to do so she could hear his voice. He was just about to drift off to sleep when he thought he felt a tug on his hair. Harry froze all movement and held his breath, and there it was again, a light tug. Sitting up slowly Harry looked at the woman he loved, to see her eyes opened and focused on him. All the air left his lungs on a sob and he grabs her hand."Autumn?" Harry whispers.
Autumn looks at the guy in front of her. He looks like he's been through hell, she knows she can't talk to him, she can feel the tube down her throat. She's not sure what happened or how long she's been in the hospital, but the one thing she does know is Harry isn't the guy for her. Yeah maybe they could be friends. Em loved him to much to just kick him out of their lives completely and with him living right across the street that would be kinda hard to do, but when it came to them as a couple it just wouldn't work. She just wasn't good enough. He's proven that so many times when he's taken off to find what she couldn't give him. Autumn just didn't have what men needed to hold their interest, so from now on she would be a friend and that's it. She may still love Harry more than anything in this world, but he didn't love her and she was tired of the pain.
Autumn tried to pull her hand from Harry's but she was just to weak, that upset her and a tear rolled from her eyes into her hairline.
