"Where did you spend your night? Huh?" Wendy asked, she sounds desperate this time.

All I can do is laugh like I'm going insane. I really don't know what to say.

"I'm so desperate to know! Kaia tell me what happened to you last night? Wait, are you possessed?" she suddenly moved an inch, looking scared.

"Come on, it's not like that." I can't stop laughing.

"You two look like in a good mood today huh?" Vera butted in.

"I think so." I shrugged and ran down the stairs.

"Kaia! Come back here." I can hear Wendy screaming my name, annoyed and confused.

I entered the room, Hunter was seated. He is talking to some boys in our class, laughing. To have friends on your second day of school is definitely a great thing, I'm relieved. At least he's feeling more comfortable now in his new home.

I sat on my chair now busy looking for the post it pack I bought last week. I badly needed it right now since having a list of the things I must do became a habit of mine since I entered this university. To my surprise, someone tapped my shoulder. My heart is racing fast since I'm pretty sure Hunter is seated behind me.

Could it be him?

I turned my head back, it's Hunter! He tapped my shoulder, he touched me. He looks so handsome. His eyes met mine again and this time he smiled at me, revealing a dimple in his left cheek. I get butterflies in my stomach, my hands became sweaty and my cheek is turning red.

"Are you looking for this?" he asked.

He is holding the post it pack I've been searching for some time. I extend my hands reaching for the post it pack in his grip then suddenly,

"Sorry. But this is mine." He said now laughing.

Did he just laugh at me right now? I froze for five whole seconds his laugh is unbearably perfect. Then I finally earned the courage to speak.

"Wh – What? That's mine." My voice is unstable.

I reached for it again then I was startled by Wendy's greeting, a loud Kaia echoed the whole classroom.

I turned my head to look at her. She looks so surprised with her hands clasped together like a genie appeared in front of her ready to grant her wish.

Suddenly the bell rang and Professor Wilson entered the room with his usual serious face. He quickly grabbed the marker right in front of him and started the discussion right away without further due.

Wendy stared at me with her teasing look, and I smirked as a reply.

The discussion continued and left me hanging on the cliff as usual. I don't really understand what this frog looking professor is talking about. He keeps on explaining a lot of formulas, writing it beautifully on the board but still leaving me hopeless.

I can never get a high grade in this subject, never.

I am jotting down notes, half-smiling. I can still remember what happened last night, how he asked, sounding concern to a nobody like me and the feeling he left when he tapped my shoulder to tease with a post it pack on his hands makes the world unreal. It's like being the main character in a fictitious novel written by a creative writer. If this is a dream, I would never want to wake up, ever.

The day finished just like that. Good thing the afternoon classes were cancelled because of an urgent meeting between the faculty members in the upcoming surprise event for the students.

I told Wendy what happened last night on our way outside the university. She freaked out after hearing the whole story, as expected. She kept on saying I did a very good job, like I'm seducing Hunter. She's on her way to meet up with her parents on a nearby shop. I planned to buy some stationery at the book store so we parted ways.

I'm sure that post it pack is mine. I'm certain. I bought it here last week with a few pen of different colors, since I really love writing stuffs. If it's his, how did he know that I was looking for it? That's weird.

I made my way inside the store and browse some books.

"So, you're in love?" A familiar voice startled the hell out of me.

"Hunter?" my voice trembling.

He was there, standing right beside me. He was wearing a hoodie jacket carrying a few books. How dumb am I not to notice him. I gulped and put the book down. I met his eyes again and smiled.

"No I'm not. I'm going to give this to a friend." I said scratching my head.

"I see." He said softly.

I need to keep the conversation going. I need to speak and ask him about something. Anything Kaia, come on.

He was about to turn around and make his way to the counter,

"Hunter!" I nearly shouted with my voice still trembling.

He faced me again with his "what now" look.

"You like books too?" Stupid question.

"Yes, I do." He said smiling wider now.

Gosh. I really don't know what I did in my whole life to see this almost-perfect creature smiling in front of me. I am blessed.

We made our way to the counter and paid. We're now walking together on the streets, my heart stopped beating for some time and then it races like getting out of its cage. It's weird but I'm starting to love this feeling.

"I'm curious about – "

"The post it pack?" He asked full of certainty.

"Is that really yours?" I asked, sounding stupid.

"Yes. It's mine." He said, smiling.

"Then how did you know I was looking for it?" I asked again.

He shrugged and smiled even more.

"Kaia Jones" He softly said.

I was surprised, he called my name. Hunter Williams called my name just now. His voice is deep and husky making the butterflies in my stomach soar up to my throat.

"Yes?" I almost whispered.

He stopped walking and grabbed me in my wrist.

"Can we be friends?"
