"What you thinking about?" Jay was looking up into the sky aimlessly again,

"Oh, nothing" She replied, her eyes still facing upwards

"Come on, you've got to be thinking of something! Also could you maybe look at me when we're talking?"

"Well I'm thinking, of how insignificant the human race is and how eventually we'll all die alone." "Oh, and I'm not looking at you because you face is distracting," this behaviour, preparing for doom, is quite normal,

"Oh, OK firstly, WOW, you have some deep thoughts, and I'm going to take the second part as a compliment,"

"It wasn't a compliment" she was quick to add, "Anyway, how's your mum?"

I sighed, she was still in hospital and they were prescribing her with more and more drugs. She says she feels like a guinea pig in a lab, I agree. "She's, good, I guess."

Jay gave me that look, "Hm, so more drugs then" she knew me so much it was scary,

"Yeah, did we have any homework?" she knew I was trying to change the subject, we both knew,

"Didn't you remember the Maths & You homework?" Maths & You was a homework sight online where the 'lessons' that were supposed to 'help' you with the homework were nothing to do with it!

"How much is there?"

"5 tasks"

I groaned

"There all level 7 & 8, and due in 3rd lesson"

I groaned again, the high the level the harder the homework, I wouldn't get all that done in the space of our 15 minute break! "Jaaaayyyyy?"

"No" she knew what I was going to say before I even mentioned it,

"C'mon! I let you copy for the last geography!" I pleaded, looking at her with my best puppy-dog eyes.

"Ugh, fine I guess I own you that" She said resentfully as we neared our destination, Grovewood High.
