Chapter One: A Rainy Day

It was a rainy day, I could smell it from my window. My alarm woke me up a few minutes ago and all I could think about was that alluring smell. I was slumped against my pillows looking out the window thinking. I finally stood up, coming out of my trance, and went straight to the bathroom.

I stripped of my sleeping gown and jumped into the shower. My hair was in a fishtail bun, I always tried something new with my hair, and last night I felt the need to be elegant. I unbraided my hair, so it was wavy, unlike it's usual curly mess. I turned on the hot water, and like that the tension slipped away for a little bit.

After I finished my long shower I brushed my teeth, until ever inch of my teeth were sparkling white. I blow dried my hair so it would become frizzy from the weather today, humid and wet. I decided that today I should leave my hair in a loose messy bun, which looks exceptional with my denim jacket, white tanktop and plain red leggings.

I looked up to see that I was right on schuedule, 7:50 and not a minute later. I grabbed my bag, rushed to my grab my black vans, and ran down the stairs like a madwoman. I was sursprised I didn't trip or something, by the way I ran down the stairs. I slowly walked to the kitchen the light was on and I smelt pancakes, meaning Rosalie, my 'servant' is cooking, and my sisters 'servants' Sienna, and Clarissa, probably are, too.

My mom hired them so we could get 'home cooked food', since my mom's wasn't home, ever. Rosalie, my personal 'servant', is 27, she has long blonde hair and green eyes. My older sister, Spencer's 'servant', Sienna is 31, she has brown chestnut hair, and dark brown almost black colored eyes. Last, but not least my youngest sister, Emma's 'servant', Clarissa is 29, she has dirty blonde hair, and hazel eyes.

I finished eating my pancakes with blueberry syrup and hand maid orange juice. I grabbed a tissue and lightly tapped it on the spots of my face that seemed to have syrup on them. I spoke up to Rosalie, and said, "Thank you so much for breakfast, you can take the rest of the day in my room, just watch TV, do whatever you want. I left a phone so you can call your fiance, good luck, and bye." I walked up and gave her a hug. She replied, "Thanks Piper, I love your outfit it looks good on you, and tip your hair looks better down." She winked at me and walked up the stairs to my room.

Rosalie is like a older sister to me, I treat her with respect, unlike my sisters who seem to want to get mom's attention. For some reason Sienna and Clarissa seem to stick with my stuck up brats of sisters. I know they just wants mom's attention, but why do they have to pick on Clarissa and Sienna, two of the nicest people that I ever met.

My sisters tend to eat there breakfast at totally different times, Emma eats it really early. And Spencer likes to eat at last minute. Emma came down slowly taking her time while Spencer rushed down like her life depended on it. Spencer was wearing a short blue skirt, black boots, and a white blouse, her hair was in a neat ponytail with a tiny blue and white polka-dot bow. Emma had her hair down straight, she was wearing loose jeans that she rolled up at the bottom and a black tanktop under a white t-shirt that hung over her shoulder.

"Emma, Spencer, ready?," I screamed as I walked out the door. Emma and Spencer are brunettes like dad, and I the odd one out was a redhead like mom. While Emma and Spencer had hazel eyes like mom, I had bright blue eyes like dad.

Emma replied with a assuring,"Yeah." That made me cringe because of loudness. I looked to see Spencer's mouth was full, but she nodded because of that.

When we arrived at school right before the bell rung, because of Spencer's reckless driving which I despised, but appreciated that we arrived on time. When I stepped out my hair elastic flew to the ground, which allowed my curly hair to go everywhere, as I grabbed the elastic all of my hair flew in face, because of my leaning position. As I stood up I flipped my hair back, and decided to leave it like that for now. I could see that the boys in the hallway stopped to stare at me, I grinned and saw the path that was set for me so I walked past them as winked and waved at a few of them. Most were stunned a few flirted back, every morning this happened, but the thing is it never gets old.

I arrived AP Physics, my first class on my long schuedule, I was bored most of the class, because my private tutor had me three lessons ahead of the class, like always. After AP Calculus, AP English and Gym, I finally had lunch. Since none of my friends had any morning classes with me, this was one of the only I got to see them in the school day.

I walked into the lunch room to see Tessa and Luke, my two closest friend out of the group, who were secretly dating. Tessa squeaked and said, "Oh my god, do you want to know what happened in Gym today? Well, I will tell you. Okay, so you know Adam, my ex. Right?" I nodded so she could proceed. "He asked me to the Dance, and before I could even answer, Luke came out of nowhere and kissed me so now, because of dorky Adam, me and Luke are exclusive!"

I was so happy for her and Luke, they deserved eachother, I knew it from the day we stepped into this school they would end up together, score for me. "That is absolutely amazing, you guys are the cutest couple ever!" I replied happily.

After we got our food which was basically crap, the school lunch here is probably breaking disgustingness record somewhere. The only decent food are the fries, and the orange juice. Which actually helps me because I hate milk unless there are Oreos, then I absolutely love it. I grabbed a few fries out of my tray and ate them quietly, I sipped my orange juice until it was finished. I wasn't really focused on the conversations at my table just nodded and laughed when the others did. I just didn't feel that well.

I was ripped out of my train of thoughts by the bell. Meaning lunch was over, I had Art & Photography. Which happens to be my favorite class. The teacher was amazing, Mrs. Archer, she let you do what you wanted, she didn't limit your creativity like other teachers, she supported everyone's ideas.

I walked into the class ten minutes late because, Principal Edwards wanted to talk to me about my sister Emma's grades in English. He didn't ask Spencer because her response would be, 'whatever' or the ever so original 'so what.' I told him that I would talk to her.

As I was saying I walked into class to see my usual seat taken by an attractive looking guy. I didn't recognize him at all, so he must be new. Mrs. Archer called me over,"Piper this is our new student Aden. I was hoping you two could share the desk?"

Mrs. Archer was the sweetest person I know, I could never say no to her, so I said the unpredictable,"Okay."
