To Matt and Joey it wasn't really a surprise that they qualified next to each other. Of course everyone was making a big deal since this is the first time they will be starting side by side since Kansas. When NASCAR went up and asked if there will be any problems with them two riding in the pace truck together. Joey and Matt just chuckled only if everyone knew that they shared a car ride the night before.

When they were going around on the pace truck the boos and cheers for both drivers were heard "this will never get old." Joey turned to Matt "what do you mean?" Matt laughed "as you know Im a little older than you are, I shared a pace truck ride once with Dale Sr. and since I was a new guy in the sport I was receiving more boos than cheers and he told me not to worry." Joey smiled and said "your still young enough to get cheers." Matt smiled and laughed "that too, but he said as long your getting either boos or cheers as long you get a reaction from them" Matt waved to the crowd "your doing something right." Joey perked up a little. Matt patted him on the shoulder "it will be fine, I would not be suprised if you gain some fans when I leave, which won't be anytime soon. He also said that the worst thing that driver can get during driver introductions is no reaction or crickets." Joey laughed and told Matt "thank you I feel a little bit better." Thier truck came to stop. Matt got out and told Joey "your welcome. Good luck today." Joey just responded back "thanks good luck to you too."

"This is a great battle for the lead but the question is will they wreak each other. Two laps to go."

Matt didn't know how but he was in the top two on the last two laps. He knew some one was behind him but he didn't know. All his spotter was saying was one back. That means there was one one car behind him.

One lap to go.

It wasn't until on the backstretch who it was. #22. Matt couldn't help but laugh. Matt started to side draft him to slow his momentum down. That worked a little bit but not much. For common them for this season they crossed the finish line for a close finish. A tie for the closest finish in NASCAR history, Matt was the winner. After his interviews, Joey headed to victory lane.

Everyone had doubts about it but they shocked everyone that they shared a handshake and hug after the race. Even though they still have their disagreements about somethings, they could at least start moving on from them.

I know a little bland at the end but I couldn't think of anything else. Other than that what did you think of that chapter? Hope you enjoyed the story.
