A/N: In this story Matt didn't get suspend. Well he did but he won his appeal. Since there was incidents that happened that was similar and the appeals board thought Matt deserved the same penalty. I want it that away is because Joey tweeted after Martinsville that he would fight or something to that effect. And as everyone knows it just goes with the story. This chapter will start with Matt's thoughts about Texas and it will transition into Joey's thoughts so everyone can get both sides.
After Matt started driving again, it was silence but it was a uncomfortable silence. Matt tried to turn on the radio to help it but it didn't. His mind keep on going back to Texas. Thinking about it he wouldn't have done that but it was just a natural response to defend him self. But he should not have done anything because he was already under NASCAR microscope.
Texas
Joey was door slamming Matt. Matt pushed his radio to tell Chris "Chris. Tell his spotter that I don't want anything to do with it I'm already on probation." Chris responded back "10-4." Joey let off a little bit. But when when he did it again he ended up wreaking both of them in the infield, "Car won't start. Jason, Chris, and coach, you guys better tell NASCAR that I did not do that." Chris responded back right away "don't worry Matt, Hoots said that they need the driver, Crew chief, and owner of the 22 to the hauler after the race. And no he doesn't need your assistance Matt like you did last year with Brad." Matt saw Joey get out of his car, and start marching over. Matt was undoing his seat belts. "Good no one is here for him to hid behind. I'm going to beat his Ass right now." Matt took off his helmet he could hear Chris, Jason, and Joe say "Matt." "Matt." "Matt, don't do anything, your already in enough trouble as it is. Talking to his is fine but don't do anything stupid." He wasn't listening. He got of his car and meet Joey half way. Matt grabbed Joey by his fire suit and started yelling in his face "why are you mad at me? Your the one that cause that..." Joey yelled back "no I didn't you came down on me just like you did in Kansas." They were just yelling at each other. Other than Matt grabbing Joey by the Fire suit, both of them haven't involved their hands. The NASCAR officials separated them. Matt turned around "enjoy going to the hauler." Matt knew Joey was just trying to grab his Fire suit, but instead he scratched his eye on the eye lid, Matt instantly punched Joey in the same eye. Matt knew his eye was bad because all the NASCAR officials had grossed out looks. Matt just told the ambulance driver to take him to the ER in case there was blood in his eye. Sure enough there was. They did emergency surgery to drain the blood. They also made it in his right eye they made him slightly blind where he could wear glasses without any problems. He did wear an eye patch on his injured eye for a while because his eye looked pretty gross. He didn't get any up dates on Joey until he got out of the hospital. Apparently Matt punched him so hard that Joey got knocked out.
Joey woke up for what he was thinking about. The rain stopped and they were still on the road. The reason he woke up his eye started throbbing. He look over at Matt he was still focused on the road but it looked like he was in deep thought. Joey was thinking about what Matt had said about his interviews. Joey will admit now that he was getting a little big headed and maybe a little greedy. Matt was right, some of the stuff he had said he shouldn't have been said. But he can't go back in time. The best thing he could do now was apologized to Matt.
Matt was thinking the same thing. He need to apologize to Joey. But both knew it was going be hard with this uncomfortable silence in the air.
How was that? I hope I made the transition smooth. I thought about going straight to Joey when I wrote the part Matt punched him. But I thought it would be better to know why Matt has glasses now. I know in the previous chapters of the this story I didn't really talk much about Matt having glasses But next chapter Joey and Matt talk about how their eyes are doing, and they bring it up a lot. Don't forget to review.
