What Lies Beneath

Chapter one

I wasn't sad when my mom told me that we were moving 19 hours from my hometown Austin, Texas to Rawlins, Wyoming. No one really liked me or how I looked anyways. I have black hair, goldish eyes that people thinks its contacts, pale skin, and I always wear the color black. No one really gave me a chance to get to know who I really in on the inside, but i guess it's all for the best if i was invisible from sight because if any soul knew my secret they would've run away and never talk to me again, so no one knows my secret not even the one person I trust the most... my mom, I don't want her to disown me like society already did to me from the start, she's all i have after my dad died when I was 8 .

All I remembered is that I heard a scream from my dad's office and the next thing i've noticed is that my dad had claw marks on his chest. I blacked out after that . i woke up scared and blood on my teeth and lips. i thought i bit my tongue or something like that.. i didn't think about it until recently when the sun kinda hurts a lot and my eyes turned from green to goldish.

It was around 12:30 pm so it was kinda dark in the house. We turned on the lights that worked and then I walked into my new home but i was disgusted with what i saw . The bathroom has no door, half of the lights don't work, dust in the window seals, and the floors creak every time you take a step.

" This place is disgusting it'd be better if we lived in a dumpster." i muttered to myself so my mom wouldn't hear what i said.

I ran upstairs with every step a creeking sound followed.i picked a room next to the bathroom that didn't stink of rotten memories. This room i had picked had no lights and only one window and i claimed it as my lawyer so my mom would had a crappiest room in the house . I started to put my stuff into what i call my room when i heard a howl from outside. I walked to the window and i saw a furry best with beautiful glowing blue eyes. But before i could take another steep the creature vanished in thin air.

I went back to work and mummered to myself "I guess this can work i've already fell threw the cracks of sociality and slowly losing my sanity.". Its was about midnight when i fished putting all my crap into my room so i passed out on my bed.

The next day I had school so i slowly got up from my bed and put on a pretty black dress that went up to my knees. I looked in my closet and picked out shoes that has silver spikes. Then i sprinted down stairs and went into the kitchen were my mom was standing cooking breakfast on the rusted stove.

" hey baby girl what do you want to eat today?" My mom asked me while her back was turned

i gave a nasty face to her comment "umm nothing thanks i'll just starve to death."

mom turned around with a concerned face "Okay but i'll give you a ride to school then."

I sighed and replied "Fine i let you give me ride to school."

excited mom grabbed the keys and hurried to the car so i wouldn't be late to school.

It felt like the car time took a life time. I didn't talk the whole way there but it was kinda scaring me that mom was smiling the whole way. It Was like she committed the perfect crime and she didn't want her facial expression to show it or she smoked a joint earlier. We finally got there and before mom could say another word i already was in the school. I turned around and gave a faint smile and waved good bye.

I got my schedule and walked into my first class. The teacher stood in front of the class talking to the students. Sadly she saw me .

" Class we got another new student in this class." she said loudly so everyone could hear her.

" crap! crap! Crap!" my mind was racing 100 miles per hour.

" My name is Miss. Jinkens now come on introduce yourself." she smiled at me putting her hand out.

" umm... ummm my name is Autumn Raven."

"Well nice to meet you Autumn." Miss. Jenkins looked around for awhile, " sit in front of Sandra." She pointed at a set in front a girl that was dressed in black and had red lipstick on her lips

I started to walk to my set when a guy with kinda long black hair that covered one eye and lip piercing. but i saw was his beautiful blue eye that stopped me in my tracks and put me in a trance. Everything turned black and that was all i could see.

"Autumn...Autumn!... AUTUMN!!!" Miss Jinkens yelled

" Ummm yeah Miss Jinkens?" i snapped back reality.

" Sit down now" she said calmly

i sat down hearing laughing everywhere embarrassed. I put one of my hands on my face trying to hide from the fact i screwed up my first day of Richard High School.

"Hey Dracula." the girl behind me whispered.

Of Course i ignored her and continued to listen to the teacher.

" DRACULA!" she whispered more loudly than before

i turn around and rudely replied in anger that she wouldn't leave me alone " what do you want voldemort?"

"wow you have a big bite for such a little girl" Sandra mocked

i rolled my eyes " what are you talking about?"

" well i know what you are and you're so weak with fear of what's going to happen if your secret came out." her eyes changed from green to blood red.

Before i could asked her what she was saying Miss Jenkins told me and her to be quiet and that we were disrupting the class. I sat in silence as the clock clicked by as the time slipped away thinking of that guy.

DING!

The Bell rawred for us to pick up our stuff and go to the next class. I quickly walked out of the class room hoping Sandra wouldn't talk to me because something is off on her.
