"Jared's missing!!" someone yelled. "What are you talking about?" Hiram asked. "My friend! His dragon is still here, but he's not," he said. "Calm down," Flurry said soothingly. He took several deep breaths and two dragons showed up. "Now, which is Jared's dragon?" Flurry asked. "Tarpon, the green one," he said, pointing to the dragon furthest from him, "Blazer, the brown one, is my dragon. I raised him from an egg." "And your name?" Spencer asked. "Andrew," he said. "Ok, we'll look into it," Hiram said. "Thank you so much sir," he said, relieved. When he left, Flurry asked, "Do dragons really come in this many colours?" "Yeah, always have," Kate said, walking up to them, obviously still mad as she had her arms crossed. "What's your problem?" Spencer asked. "Nothing, just that she shouldn't even exist," Kate said, pointing at Flurry. "Well you need to accept her fast, cause we've got company!" Samuel said with his blade drawn. Then a mighty roar shook the trees around them. The dragons bristled and the humans drew various weapons. "MOUNT YOUR DRAGONS!!" Samuel said running towards Death. Everyone panicked and quickly mounted their dragons. Flurry looked absolutely terrified as they took off. Then a lot of titanic dragons with four wings and long, slanted back horns on their heads, burst out of the surrounding forest. All of them had riders cloaked in black. "Who are they?" Spencer asked Kate. "That's the cult. FLY FASTER!!" Kate screamed, panicked. They doubled speed and were gaining a little space between the other army. Flurry, who was at the back, turned her head around and let out an icy blast that instantly froze the front four dragons and riders. Inspired, the others shot off fireballs and huge jets of flame at the riders. That cut out another ten or twenty dragons and riders but they bravely started firing back. A lot of the flame came back at their faces, burning them. Spencer suddenly felt a surge of energy flow into his body from Hiram's. "What did you do?" Spencer asked Hiram as he felt his hands start to get really hot. "I don't know, but I feel an energy connection between us. Like a bridge." Hiram answered, suddenly feeling stronger himself. Then Spencer's hands lit on fire. "Whoa," Spencer said, almost falling off of Hiram. Hiram's entire form just got a lot bigger. His claws, fangs, wings, everything, became bigger than the pursuers. "Did I do that?" Spencer asked. "I think that you had some part," Hiram answered. "Keep running?" Spencer asked, trying to douse the flames on his hands. "Yes, for now," Hiram said. But not forever, Spencer heard in his mind. "What the hell?" the two exclaimed at the same time. "What was that?!" Spencer said, extremely confused and scared. "No idea, but we need to figure it out," Hiram reasoned. "Head to the mountains," Spencer said. "But the group.....?" Hiram started. "Will be fine," Spencer said, "They have Death with them." "True," Hiram said, changing course.
