The Rebelious Princess

Princess Lavanya Ainsley

In the kingdom of Astrod, there was a beautiful castle and in that castle, there was the most beautiful princess, Lavanya Ainsley. Her hair that reached her shoulders was black and her eyes are pure red.

Princess Lavanya was currently at the gardens where she likes to help their gardener, Travis.

Lavanya was sitting in the garden with Travis. She was smiling as she looked at the flowers before her. "They grew to be quite beautiful flower, didn't they, Princess Lavanya?" Travis said as he smiled.

"Yeah, they're really beautiful." Lavanya agreed as she smiled softly.

Travis smiled then looked at the flowers. "You know, Princess Lavanya, you remind me of you mother when she was your age." He told Lavanya

Then Lavanya looked at Travis curiously. "Really?" She asked.

"Yup." Travis said, smiling. "She had a carefree spirit and loved mother nature." He added. "She was just like you."

"How old were you then?" Lavanya asked.

"I was in my 20s back then. I'm a pretty old man." Travis answered as he chuckled at the last statement. Lavanya just giggled.

"I don't think you're that old." Lavanya said, smiling.

"Princess Lavanya, I'm 64 years old. I think I'm pretty old." Travis told Lavanya as he smiled. "It won't be long until I'll have to retired."

"What would happen to the garden if you retire?" Lavanya asked, worried.

"Someone else would have to take my place." Travis answered.

Soon Lavanya stood up. "They can't replace you! You're the best gardener in the world!" Lavanya yelled. "You're the only one who understands me!" She added. "There's no one in the world who can ever replace you!"

At first, Travis was shocked with Lavanya's out burst, then smiled softly. "Thank you, Princess Lavanya." He said as he looked at the garden before him. "I want you to remember; no matter if I'm still working as your gardener, I will always be here for you if you need anyone to talk to." He assured Lavanya. "Promise you'll remember that."

Lavanya finally calmed down as she looked at the garden, sadly. "I promise..." She said as she sat back down.

"Princess Lavanya," someone called from behind. Lavanya and Travis turned to see one of the servants.

"Lilith, what's the matter?" Lavanya.asked.

"Your father and mother, wish to see you." Lilith answered as she smiled.

"Thank you for letting me know, Lilith," Lavanya said as she stood up and brushed the dirt off her dress. "Bye, Travis."

"Bye, Princess Lavanya." Travis replied as Lilith lead Lavanya to her parents.

"Do you know what they wish to see me for?" Lavanya asked Lilith.

"I'm not sure, Princess Lavanya." Lilith answered.

"Please, Lilith, don't add 'Princess' to my name. Just plain, Lavanya." She told Lilith as she smiled.

"As you wish, Lavanya." Lilith said smiling. "They're in this room." She said as she opened the door Lavanya.

"Lavanya! Wait took you so long?" Jayde asked as she hugged Lavanya.

"I'm sorry, mom. I was at the garden with, Travis." Lavanya answered as she smiled nervously. "What did you want me for?"

"We wanted to tell you, the Yehuda family will be visiting us." Ethelred explained.

"You mean our ally will be visiting us?" Lavanya asked and Ethelred simply nodded.

"The also have a son name, Nixon. He's the same age as you." Jayde added happily. "I hear he's extremly handsom and-"

"And he's also a womanizing jerk, who adores women's attention." Lavanya added as she got a little angry.

"He's not that bad, sweety." Jayde said. "He may seem like that, but I'm sure if you give him a chance, you'll see the real Nixon." She added trying to convince Lavanya.

"Mom, have you ever meet him in person?" Lavanya asked.

"Have you?" Ethelred asked, stepping into the conversation.

"N-No..." Lavanya answered as she looked away.

"Then how do you know, Prince Nixon, is a womanizing jerk, who adores women's attention?" Ethelred asked.

"I-I just do. I have a bad feeling about him." Lavanya replied.

"Just try to get along with him at least, please." Jayde begged.

"I'll try." Lavanya said as she headed towards the door.

"They're more alike than she thinks, Ethelred." Jayde told her husband who nodded.

"What?" Lavanya asked as was about to close the door behind her.

"Nothing, sweety." Jayde said smiling. Then Lavanya left the room. "You know we have to tell her soon before something terrible happens." She said as she looled at the ground.

"I'll tell when the time comes." Ethelred said.

"Why can't we tell her now? She's 16, I think she old enough." Jayde argued.

"Don't worry, Jayde. I promise I'll take full responsiblity if anything happens." Ethelred said as he hugged his wife.

"I'm just worry... What if she loses control?" Jayde asked.

"I'll take care of it." Ethelred said as he kisses Jayde on her forehead.

Outside the door, Lavanya had her back pressed against the door as she hears everything her parents said. When they finished talking, Lavanya walked towards her room. She changed into her night gown and lied on her bed while facing towards the window where the moon shined.

"What did they mean, I might lose control?" Lavanaya asked herself before she difted to sleep.
