Lydia's POV

"So you guys just..broke up?" Allison asked blatantly. I took a deep sigh,

"Yeah. Yeah, we did"

"Don't worry, you'll find your way back to each other. This is just a rough period that you'll get through" Allison reassured me,

"Yeah you guys are like freakin soul mates" Malia said, causing me to smile.

"Will you still be friends? Because I need to know if Scott and I can talk to you both or if you guys don't want to be around each other or-" Allison rambled on nervously,

"Alli!" I yelled at her, causing her to shut up and I laughed at her reaction, "I mean he said he'll still be my best friend, so I guess you guys can still act the way you always act" I said and she nodded. It was silent for a few seconds before Malia spoke up,

"So do I need to kick Katherine's ass all the way back to Majestic Halls or wherever the hell she's from?" she said bringing some humor into the situation and we all laughed. I'm surprised I'm able to laugh, and I'm surprised I don't feel very angry towards Katherine,

"No, you don't need to do that. This is all partially my fault too. If I wasn't so overprotective and jealous, none of this would have happened" I said, realizing I was at fault here too. "He told me so many times that he didn't have feelings for her, and that she's a nice girl once you get to know her, I was just to stubborn to listen to him."

"Lydia, if you feel like that during your relationship, somethings gotta change. Wether it's just a little tweek in the relationship, of ending it completely. Just because you guys broke up, it doesn't mean it's permanent." Allison reassured me. I've come to the conclusion that Allison is more sentimental and tells me uplifting things, where Malia brings in the humor and is very blunt with me. I'm glad I have both personalities, because it makes you think and realize more.

"One of my favorite times we had together was at one of my lacrosse games" I said, bringing up old memories. "I got to the lacrosse game before you, Alli, and Scott and Stiles were doing god knows what on the field. I remember walking up to him, and he gave me one of the most humble smiles in the world. He wrapped me in one of the tightest hugs he's ever given me, and you could still smell the cleanses of his jersey. And that was one of the first times we were ever public, and people started realizing we were together. And the feeling was unspeakable. Because our relationship; it was new and fresh and exciting, and we were doing things to each other that we've never done before and saying things we've never said to each other before. Good lord, I'm gonna miss that feeling."

Stiles' POV

"She broke up with you?" Scott asked me in shock,

"Yup. But I don't blame her. I was an ass" I admitted,

"Yeah dude, you were" he said and I squinted my eyes at him,

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"If Lydia was trying to tell you and you weren't listening to her, I knew for a fact you wouldn't listen to me."

I just couldn't believe it happened. I couldn't believe that Lydia broke up with me. The love of my life. I know we're only in high school, and people say high school love is basically puppy love; it's not real. But my love for Lydia is more real than any other love for anything. Scott could tell I was upset and in my thoughts, and without saying anything, he grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into a tight hug.

****

Monday morning came along, also known as the first day Lydia and I will see each other since we broke up. I am going to try my best to act like her best friend again, I just hope she'll want to do the same. I walked into the big building and pulled open the double doors, to see Lydia with Allison at her locker, smiling and laughing. Well, I guess that's a good sign. I nervously walked up, clinging onto my backpack,

"Hey guys" I said with a smile,

"Hey Stiles" Allison said kindly. I looked over at Lydia, to see her eyes locked on my face. When she saw I was looking at her, she forced a smile.

"Hey" she said quietly. Allison shot her eyes back and forth between us awkwardly before saying anything,

"So, uh, I heard Katherine and Jackson made out after lacrosse practice. Like hard core made out" she said and I went wide-eyed, along with Lydia.

"What? Why didn't you tell me?" Lydia questioned,

"I was seriously about to tell you before Stiles came over" she defended herself. "But apparently they've had a thing for each other since she came here" she said and I looked at Lydia and had a smile on her face. Not a happy smile, but more of a 'wow I'm such an idiot' smile.

"The bitch and the douche; perfect match" Lydia said sarcastically and we all laughed. Lydia looked over at me and gave me a smile. Not a forced smile. But a humble, genuine smile. Maybe we'll be able to do this after all.

A/N:

I am so sorry this is another short chapter. I guess this was more of a filler chapter, because the other ideas I have wouldn't really fit well into this chapter, so I had to cut this one short.
