The boy with sea-green eyes screamed in pain. He trembled biting his lip to keep a scream in his throat.

He hurt.

A lot.

His arms hurt, his legs hurt, his head hurt, and most of all, his heart hurt. It burned in pain.

The flames climbed up his arms and legs, dancing on his skin. They burned bright orange and blue, and he fell to his knees, his legs buckling from under him. He was weak. They were all weak.

But he was the weakest of all.

He hurt.

He hurt.

A scream of pain emerged from his own throat, shattering the air around him.

He hurt.

He hurt so, so much.

And as he screamed, as his body shook in agony, he registered a grim look on his father's face.

'I'm sorry.' Poseidon mouthed at his son.

His face hardened, his eyes darkening, his screams stopping for a second as he glared at his father.

In that moment, he realized why he was weak. He trusted them. He was loyal to them.

It was his fatal flaw. The thing that will kill him.

"Perseus Jackson, we banish you from the world of the Gods! Bear the curse of the the Forgotten!" With a flash of light, the screaming boy was gone, replaced by a slight shimmer in the air.

Poseidon turned, unable to see the sight that broke his heart, his mask gone.

Then, he turned to his brother Hades.

"What were we doing here again?" Asked his brother.

He searched his mind, looking for an answer, his brows furrowing. "I'm not sure." He felt as it he had forgotten something, something important. He brushed the feeling off, dismissing it with a wave of his hand. He stood, picking up his trident.

Poseidon sighed, snapping his fingers, fading into the air.
