(a/n: Wow almost 500 reads!! Thanks guys!!)

Kyoya Ootori was about to open the door to the Host Club when something caught his attention. Music to be exact. A beautiful melody being played in another music room. Kyoya stopped in his tracks and listened. Tchaikovsky. He followed the sound to Music Room #2. Through the open door he saw you. Your eyes were closed and you were lost in the music. You finished the piece and moved on to a more modern number.

You moved in time with the music and your (h/c) hair swayed a bit. Kyoya knew who you were. (Y/F/N)(Y/L/N). A student accepted into Ouran Academy for your musical abilities. You could play just about any instrument. When you finished playing, you opened your eyes and jumped upon seeing Kyoya standing in the doorway. "Ootori!" you cried, jumping up from the bench. You knew who he was. Everyone knew who he was.

"I did not mean to startle you, Y/L/N. Forgive me," he said. You nodded. "You play beautifully." You blushed before replying, "Thank you. I did not mean to disturb. The school is usually empty this time of morning except for the staff." He smiled. A cold and calculated smile. "Perhaps you could do something for me? An arrangement?" You looked up at him with a quizzical expression. "An arrangement?" Another small smile.

"The Host Club is hosting a dance and we are in need of a musician. You would do well." You scoffed. You had heard about the notorious Host Club of Ouran Academy. They spent the majority of their days having girls fawn all over them. You wanted no part in it. "No thanks, Ootori. I appreciate it, but I'd rather not be associated with the Host Club."

"I could make it worth your while. Our families have powerful contacts in America. I can see to it personally that you are accepted into Julliard on a full scholarship." Your jaw dropped. Could he really do that? Without another thought, you nodded. "Fine." Kyoya gave you a smirk, knowing that he'd gotten his way, as usual. "Perfect. Come to the Host Club this afternoon and I will have music for you to learn for the dance on Saturday." He turned and left the room, leaving you standing there wondering what you'd gotten yourself into.

Saturday rolled around sooner than you expected and you were now seated at the piano playing some slow waltz or another. You were about half way through the piece when you noticed Kyoya leaning against the piano. "You're not going to sing are you?" you quipped, not taking your eyes from the notes on the page. Kyoya chuckled softly. "I am not." You went back to playing and Kyoya watched intently. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off you.

"Shouldn't you be entertaining your guests, Ootori?" you asked him. He smirked once more before leaving you to play in peace. Throughout the evening, your eyes often strayed to Kyoya to find him already watching you. You'd blush and return your eyes to the keys. After a while, your hands began to cramp so you took the opportunity to take a quick break and sneak outside for some fresh air.

"Are your hands bothering you, Y/N?" Kyoya's voice came from behind you. "Since when are we on a first name basis, Ootori? And yes, my hands are cramping a bit. I have been playing for a while," you snapped. Kyoya stepped up beside you, his signature smirk plastered on his face. "There's no need to be testy, Y/N. And I use your first name in hopes that you would use mine."

You rolled you eyes. "Well thank you, Kyoya. I suppose after this, I will have to ice my hands," you said with a laugh. Kyoya noticed that your laugh was as lovely as your musical skills. As he watched your face light up with joy, Kyoya realized that he was in trouble. Who would have thought that a commoner would know the way to his heart?
