The Beginning

I put on my Hello Kitty nightgown and run to my bed. My mother comes in and smiles at me. I giggle and sit on my bed waiting for her to cover me. She covers me up and asks, "Want to hear a story?" I nod my head and her smile widens. She snuggles up next to me and I lay my head on her chest and close my eyes. She says, "Well this story is how we were made. Once upon a time the God of the sun had a daughter. Her name was Luna named after the moon. He loved his daughter so much and cared for her very much. Her hair was a white as snow and she was very skinny, but super fast. A few years later he had another daughter. He named her Nyx. He loved her so much also. Now she had hair has black has the night sky. She almost looked just like her sister. The sisters were very close and cared for their father's attention. Well in their teen years their father told that he wanted them to create something. He created the world and cared for it, as he should. Luna had an idea and when down to earth. She made sure she didn't stick out. Now Nyx decided to draw and created something from stories. While Luna was on Earth she spent most of her time in the woods. Luna saw this knight in the guard. His name was Barrow. He has black hair and almost silver eyes. He was very tall and was very strong. He rarely lost a sparring match.

Luna fell in love with him, but Barrow never noticed her. Nyx on the other hand had created something. A creature for the night she so dearly loved. A vampire. Sucked the blood of humans, but didn't care for the sun. Was fast and very pale. Golden eyes that could pierce a soul, as pure as a child. Her father didn't know about the idea and wondered what it would do to the small villages. Nyx promised she would make sure they would live in peace with humans. Her father said he would approve as soon as Luna returned. Nyx nodded in silence. Luna decided she wanted to learn how to fight, so she could get Barrow to notice her. She trained her heart out everyday, till it was finally time. She went to the guard and said she would love to join. The guard laughed in her face and said no women could keep up with the training. Luna said if she couldn't she would leave and never return, but if she could she could live here. They agreed and Luna smiles. Everyday she would train and it hurt her body. Days and weeks went by and finally the guard decided she could join. Barrow noticed her and fell in love. They would sneak off into the woods, so no one could see this blooming romance. One day a bear came while they were in the woods. Luna tried to warn Barrow, but it was to late. The bear slashed his back, but Luna scared the bear off. She ran to him and cradled him. She cried into his chest. As she was doing so she heard a wolf cry. A white wolf came up and bowed. Luna just stared and watched. The wolf licked Barrow's face and whimpered. Luna finally knew what she would create. A werewolf. Luna asked the wolf if he would like to be bonded with the man that lay wounded in her arms. The wolf howled in agreement. Luna smiled and spoke Latin to make the bond. When she opened her eyes. Barrow was healed. His eyes were like wolves. Barrow smiles and spoke such loved he had for the wolf bonded with him. Luna finally created something she knew her father would favor.

When Luna returned with Barrow her father was so delighted in her creation. Her father decided that he would only let Luna's creation be on the earth. Nyx heard and was very jealous. She went against her father's orders and created the beast. She lost control of them and couldn't stop it. Luna helped her father get rid of most, but to many were being created. Her father ended up passing away and giving his crown to Luna. We now know her as the Moon Goddess.

Luna ended up having a child with Barrow. It was a baby boy named Lucca and he was also a wolf. Luna learned that Barrow's gene didn't just stick with him. It went to children. Lucca ended up being the first Alpha of the first pack.

My mother sighed as she finished the story. She looked at me and saw me asleep. She kissed my head and left saying, "Good night my beautiful Nova. Goodnight."
