I finish my last class of the day and head back to the huge house I call home. Hey names Nova Campbell. I'm 17 almost 18 and I'm a senior in high school. My life isn't like the normal teenager. I'm a werewolf and a very important one at that. I'm the great great great granddaughter of Lucca Campbell. I'm his first granddaughter, so I'm kinda important. I'm considered Royalty since he was the first Alpha to the first pack ever established. Having boys was a big deal in the family line and for years my family line was just boys. Then came me. I was a surprise, but I am important because a myth is based upon me. I have studied it since I was a child. Every time I get home I have to wear my royal dress and my crown. I have studying to do about are history. My mother usually helps me with my studies. My father is busying with the guard. The myth is in Latin, so since I was a child I had to learn it. I have become fluent and I love it. My father's second in command has a daughter and a son. I have become close with the twins. You have Cian and Alistair. Cian is usually in the kitchen baking with the other females, while Alistair trains with the guard. The time I don't study is the weekends. I usually hang out with Cian and we read some old copies of text that scribes wrote about wars. Alistair will come if the guard had just finished a mission. My wolf's name is Alma. She is pure white and very strong. I love when I shift and run. It's just a wonderful feeling being bonded to a beautiful creature. I guess we should start the story.

I get to the house and head to my room. I slip off my clothes and put on my long dark green dress with golden trim and lacing. My cleavage shows in a very classy way. I go to my desk and open up my jewelry box. I grab my crown and put it on top of my head. I hear a knock on the door and I say, "Who is it?" Cian peeks her head though the crack and smiles. I giggle and nod my head saying she can enter. She sits on my bed and messes with her blonde hair. Her caramel eyes stare at me. Cian says, "Oh Nova do you really have to go off the library to study everyday?" I nod as I braid my white hair. I say, "You know I am the first female in my family and that means I need to know my stuff about everything to show I can serve this pack well. I mean this was the first pack ever established and is the strongest and biggest." Cian groans saying, "I know Nova, but we only hang out on weekends and even then you study. This weekend we are going to watch the super cute guards work. They are suppose to train in the field and you need to find your mate." My body freezes up when I hear her say mate. The word was something my mother had been using more. I snap back when Cian says, "You better get going it's almost four and you have to tend to your studies." I watch her leave and sigh.

I feel bad always having to bail on Cian because of my studies. I head to the library and I bump into someone dropping my books. I start to pick them up and I hear a man's voice say, "I am so sorry Lady Campbell." I see him start to grab my book, so I look up. He has black hair that seems even darker than the night sky. His silver eyes look as if he is just all wolf no man. I see he is staring at me to and I decide to break the silence. I say, "No need to apologize. It my fault for bumping into you my Lord." He laughs handing me my books. My eyebrow goes up and he stops saying, "I mean no disrespect my Lady. I'm August Hess. I am the Commander of the Guard. I'm not used to hearing Lord." I blush staring at him and nod. I could feel my heart beat against my rib cage. What am I feeling? This is strange. I say, "Well Lord Hess I must be off to my studies. Thank you so much for helping me. I hope to see you again." He smiles replying, "I hope to see you again too Lady Campbell." I walk to the library and my heart is still pounding against my ribs. Why am I feeling this? He was very attractive and well 'do able' as Cian says.

I finally get to the library and start to study and take notes. My mother comes in and smiles at me. She has long brown hair and blue eyes. She met my father when he was on a meeting in Scotland. I love my mother's accent. When I was little, her songs would always make me fall asleep. My mothers name is Catriona Lou Allaway. I know it's very Scottish. My mother says, "Nova make sure to restate the Latin in Scottish and English." I nod and get up. I grab the Scottish dictionary and sit down. I start restating the Latin script. My mother starts droning on about Latin history. I sigh listening to the Wolf and Vampire wars. My mother was a good teacher, but studies are something I'm used to. I usually had to listen to the same stories and restate the same script. I hear a knock on the door and my mother says, "Come in." I look up and see August. He looks around and sees me. He bows and saying, "My lady your father wishes to see you in the courtyard." I stand up and say, "Thank you Lord Hess." My mother smiles and starts cleaning off the table. I head out and August stays at my side. He says, "Now Lady Campbell why are you always stuck in the room all day? I see you come home go into that room and don't breach it till dinner." I giggle and say, "I have studies to attend to. My mother says human schools don't really teach me the stuff I really need to know. So, I study more things here." August smiles showing off sharpened canines. August says, "Here we are my lady." I thank him and walk away. He was a sweet man, but I could feel he held dark secrets.
