Tim had woken me up early that morning, so early that the sun wasn't even up to bounce off the crystals on the chandelier. I still felt like I was in pain from the night before when I had ran away from the mansion, but I thought that went away when Slenderman was near me. Where was he?
"Why are you up at this time?" I asked rubbing the sleep from my eyes, ignoring the pain in my arm and ribs.
"We always wake up before the sun, we have to make sure everything is ready for Master's return every morning." He spoke in a dead tone, like he had heard this so many times that it just came to him.
"Do I look like a maid?" I asked resting my hand on my hip and cocked my head to the side.
Tim stopped and gave me a sideways glance, taking me in. "Well..." he sighed. I glared at him, and he shook his head, "No, and I never said you had to do anything anyway."
"But you said-"
"You asked me what I was doing up this early, so I told you. You never asked why I got you up this early." he stated sharply, he wasn't as talkative as yesterday, maybe cause we were up at like 5:00 in the morning.
"Well, since obviously you're going to make me ask; Why, Tim, did you get me up this early to walk around with you?"
"Well since you asked, Luna," He mocked me tone, "I got you up this early so I could show you to your permeate room." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and continued.
"You mean cell." I muttered shuffling behind him.
He snorted at my comment but left it alone and kept walking. I didn't even bother memorizing the path to my 'room', figuring that later, when I'm not about to fall asleep standing up, or pass out from pain; I could wander around, get my barrings, and plan an escape. There was no way I was just going to stay here and do whatever bidding it was that proxies did. Especially if it was just to clean up after Slenderman for an eternity.
We stopped in front of a small light blue door at the end of a hallway, there were no other rooms in the hall, or any other halls branching off other than the one we entered through. On the wall across from the door was a window that was almost as tall as me and it shown down on the endless woods that seemed to surround this mansion. Tim handed me a small key and left with out a word to clean or whatever. What was he going to clean? This place was already spotless. There was not a speck of dust out of place, well other than the basement but I doubt Tim could clean it on his own. Shrugging it off I looked at the door and then at the key in my hand...odd that this locks from the outside.
Sticking the key into the lock below the doorknob I opened it with surprisingly nothing but the sound of the door sliding along the carpet. Looking into the room it was not at all what I had expected, the regular gold and red floral carpet faded into a light blue that matched the color of the door. The room wasn't large by any means, it was cell sized. The walls were light blue at the bottom and slowly darkened shades, until it reached the ceiling which was painted black. It looked like the night sky. The paint, like everything else in this house, was not new; though there were chips in the wall and it was beginning to peal, it was a heck of a lot better than my last living arrangement. The room only consisted of the bare minimum of furniture, a twin bed, a dresser, and a small bed side table. Nothing like Tim's rats nest of a room.
Setting the key on the bedside table I flopped down onto the bed but couldn't sleep, I very much wanted to but this pain wouldn't let me. It was the same pain I got last night when I got too far away from Slenderman, it started with a sharp pain in my arm, then an ache in my ribs adn slowly vibrated through out my body in tiny flashes. It was like someone had placed hot embers just below my flesh: not agonizing, but just painful enough to keep your attention.
